These NFL players that sat today are jackwagons. I understand making political statements, but not today. Of all days, they could have stood on 911. I have NO respect for them. One of my friends burned all his NFL jerseys in his yard and is boycotting.

I agree. If they wanted anyone to hear about their issues it will now fall on deaf ears because no one will listen now. People tend to go to extremes and then they just look like jack asses instead of having any sort of teaching moments that might have worked.

Although I think it is terribly disrespectful to sit during the anthem, I refuse to pay any attention because that is exactly what these chumps want. Screw them and their causes if the only way to bring attention is to sit during the song.

You know what? These NFL idiots kneeling during the National Anthem are offensive - not for what they are doing but for their absolute puss-ass way of protesting a perceived injustice. If they had any guts at all, they would truly live up to the standard set by those who gave the last full measure of devotion to preserve their right to be puss-ass protesters. They should go ALL THE WAY!!! Grow a scrottum and BURN THE FLAG during the anthem. Dance on it! Worship the FLAME! But, don't be PUSSIES!!! Do it RIGHT!!!

If you're gonna do it, grow a scrot first and make an impressive splash with it. These idiots are pussies, plain and simple.

I will add that I do believe the issue they are sitting down for absolutely needs to be addressed and is a real problem BUT this is not going to accomplish anything positive. I'm not sure why people think protests like this work completely but it does draw attention just not really the kind you want. These guys need to use their "celebrity" to get people together, meeting to find solutions. All this is doing is showing disrespect to the wrong people and pissing people off to the point they will not listen now.

I disagree. I think it is a building block. It will piss people off, but that's what always happens when people exhibit civil disobedience. White people in the South in the late 50's and early 60's were pissed. They eventually got the message.

Seriously??? You think they got the message??? They cannot even understand white privilege or how deplorable some of the Trump nuts are. I'm not sure I am on board with that one, Strum

That's a good point. BUT... at least through the LAW, whites can no longer blatantly discriminate. No more "Colored Only" bathrooms and water fountains and "No Coloreds" in hospitals and restaurants.

What does this have to do with this thread? How do you feel about disgracing 9/11?

What does kneeling during the national anthem have to do with 9/11?

How do you feel about the people who booed the president's 9/11 tribute before the NFL games?

How do you feel about the roughly 120 thousand Iraqi civilians who were killed in the Iraq War? (There was never any evidence that Iraq was involved in 9/11 in any way shape or form) How do you think the family members of those innocent civilians who were killed for no reason other than oil feel about the AMERICAN FLAG (NICE JOB TOTALLY IGNORING THE ORIGINAL POINT) ?

Why do you not answer posed questions and hijack threads?

How did you react when Tim Tebow and other athletes pray after a TD or victory and was ridiculed by the national media for doing so?

I can't help but notice you didn't answer any of my questions either... The original post was about kneeling during the national anthem. If you can't deduce for yourself why that is relevant to this thread then I can't help you.

As to your second question... I laughed. Because people SHOULD be ridiculed for talking to their imaginary friends in public.

Well if you don't see the relevance of uncboy's post about the confederate flag and the OP topic then how can you make a connection here? Same thing as he did but you accuse him of hijacking the thread???

I asked you first. When you answer my questions, I will answer yours.
You will find out about imaginary versus real at some point, before this life or after. People SHOULD be ridiculed for acting out on imaginary social issues.

Also, you were probably a toddler when 9/11 happened so I don't expect you to understand.

I don't claim to understand the Bible.
I'm considering making that my signature.

I'll definitely remember that statement for future reference when you're schooling us all on what the Bible says, means and intends.

I doubt they have an opinion about this flag either. But please correct me if you think I'm wrong.
I was just using visuals for the distinction. Apparently a lot of people think the "Stars and Bars" is the "Confederate Flag."

The Stars and Bars is the First National Flag of the Confederacy. Coincidentally, It's basically what the Georgia State Flag is today, except with the Georgia State Seal in the blue canton instead of the circle of stars. There was an abundance of uproar about the Georgia State Flag when the CSA Battle Flag was attached. Now, the flag is changed... to a "less offensive" set of colors that mimics the Stars and Bars. If the "General Lee" Dodge Charger had used the Stars and Bars, they'd still be able to show it on the roof of the car, apparently. People can get offended by the most trivial things, and the things that can really harm them seem to go unnoticed.
