Still not tired of winning

I agree but that still doesn't address the point I made.

I'm not really sure what point you're trying to make. I know you were trying to make Trump look bad in your original post, but once @Louigi correctly pointed out that your post lacked context you seemed to go off the rails. Are you trying to say Trump is worse than the others or are you now just trying to say the US has a spending problem?

I'm not trying anything I'm saying the deficit is growing.....

Maybe...we'll see. I see a Nobel in Trump's future. I'm sure he could use the money.

That place of your family's in N. Topsail I hope isn't too far north, I drove up to the north end a couple years back and was surprised to see a few houses had been washed away, that end of the island is taking a beating with the erosion. We've rented homes in the 4100-4600 hundred block of Island Drive over the past 10 yrs or so, and I am amazed every year at how much of the dune line is slowly disappearing.

Have you been to Daddy Macs restaurant . . ? We usually eat there at least a couple of times, love their food . . we'll head over there for a fried fish platter and a couple of cold beers at lunch time while sitting on their outside deck.

Sometimes, we'll order a key lime pie from The Trading Post if we have a big enough crowd coming in. It's really good and made by one of the locals there, and kept frozen until it's picked up.

IIRC, you are not far from Benson, so, how long does it take you to slide over to Wilbers from the home 20 . . ? Maybe, we can do a meal there in September, Jim . . if, we ever did a THI group hookup, that would be a great location to do so. It's worth the 4 hour trip to be able to haul back some 'Cue for me . .

Hows the RV doing . . . you gone anywhere in it yet . . ?

How often are you able to get to Topsail . . ?

@BillyL I went to Daddy Mac’s back in May. Absolutely delicious.

Very tasty food . . I like their calamari, and as I poasted earlier, we'd do their fish 'n chips lunch w/ a couple of cold beers. So goood . .

We can't even get this sorry group together for a tailgate party. It won't happen just for a meal... unless you're paying. That might actually get people to show up.

LOL . . me buying won't get folks to show up. I would very much try to make a tailgate party this football season.

The Beach Shop at Topsail was good the last time I ate there. It's been a couple of years.

The house was built by my grandparents so I have to split time with aunts, uncles, cousins, brother and sister. Everyone fights over the holidays so I usually go in the off months IF I can get a decent week. My Uncle keeps the calendar so I check with him to see what's available. There are so many of us now that it's a pain in arse trying to schedule, actually.

Yeah those places down by the inlet have taken a pounding. Last Sept. I walked down to the end, well, as far as I could go at least, when the tide started coming in and was amazed to see the waves lapping about four feet up the steps to one of the houses while the people staying there were cooking out on the deck. The two houses beyond it were nearly swamped. Unreal.

I've eaten all over that island, but my favorite seafood joint is the Riverview Cafe' in Sneads Ferry. Adam Powell's family actually built that place and every time I've eaten there it's been great. If you've never been there you should try it. Daddy Mac's and Sears Landing are both great and I like the Shuckin' Shack as well. We like the pizza from Max's in Surf City, but Brooklyn Pizza is pretty good, too.

Dude, I can be at Wilber's in about 30/35 minutes, depending on my craving index. My Ga family loads up on that BBQ when they come up because you just can't get it like that at home. My bike club rolls up in there about once a month and they herd us to the back to keep us away from the nice people. Mr. Shirley says we look like "a bunch of boogers", lol.

The camper is great. Took it to Jordan Lake for a long weekend the second week we had it. My son has a pontoon boat so we had a blast. Taking it back the week of July 4th. We used it at the clubhouse last weekend for our Summer Bash. We have a few dedicated 30 amp hook-ups for just that reason. We charge guests to use the spaces...members use them free, but from all the griping I've heard about campers running up the light bill I'm actively searching for an RV specific generator. Champion makes some decent ones so that's probably my next purchase.

Anytime you, or anyone else, want to meet up at Wilber's just go ahead and count me in. We might better make it sooner rather than later...if I keep gaining weight at the rate I have been for the past 6/7 months I won't be able to walk through the door.

I have eaten at Riverview Cafe, very good food there, there was another place close to that we tried one evening, IIRC, it was the Green Turtle or something named close to that . . it was about average, but, the weather that day was awesome, so, that made for a great meal out on the deck there.

What happened to you going out for walks to help with putting off the weight . . ?

The "accident" that occurred a while back did some soft tissue damage to my lungs and heart (not to mention my brains, lol) and managed to tear my knee up, also. That really put me off my routine for a while. I'm slowly working my way back up to it but I'm still not even 75% of where I was at. I just don't heal as quickly as I once did. 82ndHawk has been a godsend around here. He's been my eyes and ears until I'm back to getting out in the field again.

Last Sept 14th we had a mishap while conducting some explosives training. Lost one SF soldier and had seven injured.

I think I remember that now . . but, I might have missed that you were harmed. Dayum, that's not good . .

Best wishes.

ETA: And what he is describing is called a contract. A deal doesn't have to be anything more than a couple of people saying they will do something. Doesn't even need to be in writing. You should trust the media on this one.

deal
dēl/
noun
  1. 1.
an agreement entered into by two or more parties for their mutual benefit, especially in a business or political context.
Ya, seems like what Trump and Rocketman had is indeed a deal, as it's an agreement (to sign a piece of paper) entered into by themselves - even if it was just for political posturing.

So while I admire @prlyles unrelenting efforts to throw shade on DT, he has unfortunately overstepped his bounds on this one.

watching trump now...this might be my favorite presser he’s ever done...hasn’t happened much, but i’m giving him props right now...he is crushing it.
