Trump & Hillary

Trump in now living rent free in Hillary's head(plenty of room) At one of her snooze fests animal rights activists were protesting and her response was making a comment about how many animals Donald Trump and his family have killed.

Actually the "Big Bang" is nothing but a theory and a funny sitcom.

The theory of gravity is also just a theory. And there is roughly the same amount of evidence for both of them.

Anyone trying to argue climate change, evolution, or the big bang is doing so in the face of overwhelming evidence. This anti-science movement has to be one of the scariest things going on in the world right now.

Ah No we only have computer models going back 100 years or so , some of the original changers have made 180's. There is nothing scientific about using 100 years of data on something that is 4.5 billion years old and drawing a conclusion based on that. That would be voodoo science. You certainly are scared easily but that didn't take even 10 years of computer models to figure out.

Using "anti-science" to describe my stance and others on global warming er climate change is akin to accusing unc of providing "fake classes". I'm not anti science. I dont agree with how the data is interpreted at times. Science says the oceans are rising and the ice caps are melting. I dont disagree with that. How much is to be blamed on man's influence is what i disagree with the left on.

As for gravity u really drop the ball there. Gravity is a theory that breaks down at th quantum level. That's what science has proven.

So there's some scuttlebutt this morning that Evan McMullin will announce his candidacy for the presidency today as an independent conservative with “the backing of key $$ contributors in the Republican Party.”

Evan McMullin, the chief policy director for Republicans in the U.S. House of Representatives, will offer discontented members of his party an option this November by launching an independent, conservative bid for president.

http://www.politico.com/story/2016/08/evan-mcmullin-2016-presidential-run-226784

Some quick facts on McMullin:

- 40 years old, never held public office
- BYU undergrad, MBA from Wharton
- Served as a Mormon missionary in Brazil
- Served 11 years in the CIA
- Worked 3 years for Goldman Sachs
- Worked as a staffer for the House Foreign Affairs Committee

His age and lack of experience are a bit of a concern, but I'm willing to listen. Anything has to be better than the two (main) bozos we have to choose from.

It'll be interesting to see whether he can get on the ballot in all 50 states and secure a spot in the debates. Otherwise, this is all for naught IMO.

Ya, I haven't heard anything about him but on paper he seems like he'd have to be better than either of the two bozos we have running now.

If this guy runs that seals the deal for Clinton though. He's gonna steal much more votes from Trump than Clinton.

My FIL is a full professor of physics at a well known university and fairly well known in the field. He is also a democrat to the core.

He also says that there is no possible way to know how much, if any, cause or influence humans have on the current global warming trend.

So I guess he is anti-science too.

Weak-sauce. First, gravity as an observed phenomenon is indisputable. Exactly how or why it works is indeed a theory. We don't really have a great handle on that, particularly as it relates to quantum physics.

Big Bang? I don't know enough of the evidence but bet there are legit credible alternatives presented by scientists. For me, the Big Bang confirms a basic tenet in the Bible.

Evolution? LOL. Which theory of evolution? What aspect? Frankly, most people that say they believe in evolution actually believe in something that is long proven invalid, and don't even understand it. It's a joke. For example, do you believe in neo-darwinism or neo-lamarckism or both?

Man-made global warming is another scam, which is why you call it "climate change" now since no one can deny climate changes, always has and always will.

I should have clarified that of course there is climate change , but there is just not any verifiable evidence that it is man caused. If we lived at the density that people live in Manhattan , the entire global population could fit in New Zealand.

No chance. He's already being demonized by the left. UNCboy will be here in a minute to talk about what an idiot he is for his religious beliefs and that because of it, he's not fit to serve.

First of all, how can you expect us to take you seriously when you link some rag named "Liberal America"?

Secondly, the whole premise of that article is shit because it's based on the idea that when you disagree with ultra-liberal policies, you're a bigot. That's garbage. But I do at least admire the way liberals have positioned the discussion from a strategy standpoint. They've created an unbeatable strategy - berate, attack and go into character assassination and call people "racist" and bigot" and the opposition will eventually give in because they don't want to suffer consequences professionally and personally from believing what they believe. It's really a genius play by liberals. Of course, it wasn't really a fair fight though as the media is in the tank (and has been for some time) with the left.

Lastly, the fix that the article suggest is more ridiculous shit. Here's an excerpt:
How Do We Get Republicans To Stop Vilifying People?

It’s actually a quite simple concept, teach them to be empathetic!

Empathy is a very powerful emotion that has the power to change the world, but teaching Republicans how to be empathetic may prove to be quite a bit more difficult than one would hope. Nonetheless, it can still be done!

Teach them to be empathetic? You cannot force empathy on someone. If you do, it's not empathy. The article also assumes that people want to be empathetic - which in many cases isn't true.

If UNCboy were around for the ice age he would blame it on Woolly Mammoths farting too much or something like that.

I'm sorry that I was unable to publish my review before you went to all this trouble.

Yeah, you're correct on that one. There's no way to teach a stubborn old white man new tricks , so I agree

What's sad about those cartoons that are absolutely making valid points about true things, is that you can basically just change most of it to Trump because they are essentially the same. I see very little differences
so tell me what should Trump go to prison for? Please elaborate and use some thought.

I'll give Trump this much, he covers his tracks well. There are allegations that he possibly was spying on his low paid workers but that's kind of been swept under a rug. I have no doubt he probably has quite a few skeletons but I really don't care. I would over look an email "scandal" with him if he was worth a crap and could lead this country in a better direction but he cannot. He and Hillary both are going to go down in history as the worst candidates of all time. I also am pretty sure he is covering up some things with his refusal to present his tax returns so I'm sure something of jail time caliber is lurking in there.

If you think one of those two nuts sucks less than the other then you're the dingalings here, not me.

Trump for all his faults is still head and shoulders better than Hillary. Moreover, what beef do you have with the direction he wants to go in?

1. Of course we need a president that FINALLY forces agencies and departments to come up with budget cuts.
2. Of course we need to stop people coming here if we cannot vet them and they come from ISIS occupied or infiltrated areas.
3. Yes, we should have an America First foreign and trade policy. Duh!
4. Simplifying the tax code and cutting some taxes? Yep. Right on.
5. Staying out of elective wars.

I could go on but what he says he wants to do is spot on. Hillary serves our enemies.

Well I disagree when it comes to Trump. He has voiced a few of those ideas and anything with regards to business he might be able to achieve but foreign relations he will destroy.

I agree with you on Hillary though.

Why do you think he'd be bad for foreign relations? I think he'd actually be good in some respects. Reagan intimidated our enemies, generally, by causing them to think he might be willing to do something a little crazy. Trump is a little like that. Reagan did bomb Ghadaffy and we didn't hear too much from him again. Ghadafy also decided to play ball and ended his nuke program after Bush killed Saddam. Not saying the Iraq war was good but just showing how a little fear of what we might do can go a long ways.

Hillary is more likely to kill an ally or someone that is cooperating with the US.

Trump has a negotiating style where he takes the most extreme position and then works back. It apparently works for him.

The other thing about Trump is he is reading the global mood better. People are upset with globalist elites seeking to dominate and literally dictate and govern, watering down the nation-state. Brexit was a reaction to that, and this is a very good thing.
