Trump & Hillary

Why do you think he'd be bad for foreign relations? I think he'd actually be good in some respects. Reagan intimidated our enemies, generally, by causing them to think he might be willing to do something a little crazy. Trump is a little like that. Reagan did bomb Ghadaffy and we didn't hear too much from him again. Ghadafy also decided to play ball and ended his nuke program after Bush killed Saddam. Not saying the Iraq war was good but just showing how a little fear of what we might do can go a long ways.

Hillary is more likely to kill an ally or someone that is cooperating with the US.

Trump has a negotiating style where he takes the most extreme position and then works back. It apparently works for him.

The other thing about Trump is he is reading the global mood better. People are upset with globalist elites seeking to dominate and literally dictate and govern, watering down the nation-state. Brexit was a reaction to that, and this is a very good thing.
Trump has made us the laughing stock of the whole world.....Period

You need to get out a little more if you believe that. Obama is the one that made us or perhaps just him a laughingstock. But regardless, your argument is a typical stupid liberal one. Define the whole world as a bunch of liberal elitists and then declare since liberal elitists mock Republicans, that we are a laughingstock.

At least that'll only be for the next few months, then people will forget about him and his crazy antics. Not much harm done there in the grand scheme of things, IMO.

If the country is still in one piece in 4 years, Hillary will have made it into a laughingstock of epic proportions. Well beyond anything we've seen during this election cycle, that's for sure.

I'm not a liberal big guy. I've never voted a democratic ticket in my whole 66 years. Trump is as unfit for the office as anyone who has ever run. Real republicans are ashamed that our party was stupid enough to run this clown. We could have run O.J. Simpson and beat Hillary, we could have run anybody but Trump and beat her but what did we do?........

Doesn't matter. He wasn't my first, second, third, fourth, fifth, etc,...choice either but he won fair and square and is still light years better than Hillary. That's reality. Deal with it like an adult.

I suspect Trump will surround himself with people that have a handle on foreign policy/affairs as well as any other areas he's deficient in. Which is just about everything.

But I'd vote for Putin before I'd vote for Hillary.

Agreed. People can regurgitate anti-Trump rhetoric all they want, it doesn't justify a vote for Clinton no matter how you slice it. I just assume that anyone that is voting for Hillary enjoys giving a big F YOU! to the United States.

I'm dealing with it with my vote and he will be lucky to carry 2 or 3 states. We had a great chance to take back the White House and we shot yourself in the foot...

50 GOP National Security Experts : Trump Is 'Dangerous' . . . and none will be voting for Trump.

OUCH . . !

From the article liked :

Washington (CNN)Fifty prominent Republican foreign policy and national security experts -- many veterans of George W. Bush's administration -- have signed a letter denouncing Donald Trump's presidential candidacy and pledging not to vote for him.

The letter, first reported by The New York Times Monday, warns: "We are convinced that in the Oval Office, he would be the most reckless President in American history."

Plenty of others like Rumsfeld endorse Trump. Not sure he's the best endorsement but a lot of national security "experts" seem to kind of suck if you ask me. So trotting out a bunch that don't like Trump means nothing.

And why was that? The stupid GOP establishment guys kept promoting amnesty and things like Common Core and were completely out of touch. Plus they wouldn't step aside soon enough for the one guy who could beat Trump to win, and that was Ted Cruz whom they also hate. Maybe not the best personality but he at least grasped some of the litmus tests existing to win the nomination.

Pro-amnesty in any form? You lose.
Common core? You lose. I actually talked with long-time GOP voters who were also so out of touch they didn't even know what Common Core was. The real problem are the governing elites were and those listening to the MSM description of the electorate are so woefully out of touch with the American people.

Take Kasich. I like him but he advocated Common Core, a path to citizenship and large-scale boots on the ground in Syria. Sorry but he was out then. Could have told him that from the day he came out for these things.

Nobody trotted out anything . . except, maybe, the 50 themselves. Regardless, this isn't the kinda press you want if truly you are trying to win an election . .

Jus' sayin' . .

Maybe not. The GOP needs to learn it's lesson and that is the GOP elites in DC are so hated and despised, the average Republican prefers a guy like Trump than them.

Now we just need the democrats to learn the same lesson.

Somewhere Ted Cruz and John Kasich are saying 'I told you so . . '

Here is the problem. Trump will get the stupid white male vote in a landslide over Hillary but that will be all. Tell me what other group he will get? Women hate him, People of color hate him, most white males with a high school education hate him, unions hate him, the military hates him, ALL democrats hate him. How in the hell do you think he's going to get the votes to be elected?

Are these the same national security experts that found evidence that Clinton broke the law and then recommended that she not be charged?

I work for the DoD. This has been addressed by the head shed in meetings and memos ad nauseam. Trust me, it has been driven home that should I be responsible for even one classified email finding its way onto any unauthorized server or non-DoD/Govt. email account that I will be terminated and prosecuted.

I don't know but you are not completely correct here. First, he has some union endorsements and the rank and file union people do not hate him, not at all.

He is winning among white women and so the idea women hate him is misleading. In general, married women favor the GOP, and white voters favor the GOP across the board.

It is true he suffers as all Republicans do, with minorities except not so much Asians, but oddly enough, polls better than Romney with Hispanics.

He also seems to be weaker with college educated whites (not HS) but on the other hand is running fairly strong with blue collar democrats. So who knows?

I think if he ran a more disciplined campaign, he'd be winning in a landslide but that's in large part due to Hillary. if the democrats had a better candidate, it wouldn't be close. Same is true for Republicans.

In the next election, I hope the real republican party will force the kind of people who would support Trump to go to a 3rd party. We really, really don't need them.

I love this mindset. If they're Republican, they could trot-out a monkey and you'd vote for them. To openly admit that the guy is not even your #5 choice, and yet you're desperately trying to prop-up the man as conservative and Republican, and whatever else... it's hilarious.

I'm kinda glad for some of the things in Trump's resume'. Like Newt and many other "conservatives", they have one divorce after another. Their sanctity of marriage BS is abundantly clear. Trump is hardly pro-life. Donald Trump is Pro-Trump... that's all.

If he wins, we can have those calendars like we had when Bush was in office. Every day has a new verbal mistake.

I think my favorite so far is when he got the Purple Heart and said "I always wanted one of these."

Not true but if the democrat is Hillary, then yep. Hillary is sold out to our enemies and near every corrupt regime and criminal networks all over the planet. She's a traitor.

So the bar is very low here. I'd vote for Mike Tyson or most anyone over Hillary.

Doesn't Hillary prove this is true for the other side as well?
I dunno. I'm not voting for her either. But, I'm impressed with your justification for voting for the monkey. Both of you "sides" are on a race to the bottom. Every election, you choose from two worse than the one before. And, you do it by saying "well, theirs is worse." That must make you proud!

There wouldn't be a Republican party if Trump voters left and the fact you and GOP elites don't get that is a huge part of the problem. You do need them, but sadly there are some that'd rather lose, go back to being in the minority than have Trump voters or before that, tea partiers, etc,....associated with them.

Maybe you should join the democrat party then?

Bullshit!

Hillary is a crook and a traitor.

I personally thought Christie should have switched parties and run as a democrat. He might have beaten her. That'd give us a real choice, even though I don't really like Christie.

Chick, you need to woman up and admit that the link you posted was a really, really bad link....no shame in that I've posted bad one also but just admit it....

The thing is I have thought that republicans have been a very angry bunch for years so I do not disagree with that article. Obviously you do and that's fine. How about we all just human up and admit there are problems and angry, mislead, egotistical people on both sides and that is why we aren't accomplishing a dang thing???

Genius... I'm in awe.

The truth is if I were an honest liberal, say a Bernie backer, I might even vote for Trump over Hillary. She's a warmonger, a crook, the biggest influence-peddler in American history, lawless, against the average American worker, etc, etc,....

If the Bernie crowd ever wants to succeed in dominating the democrat party, they need Trump to win and force the Clinton crowd out.
