UNC vs Louisville game thread Thursday 12 March 2015

It just did..Heels need to figure a way to put the ball in the hoop. Offense isn't doing much today, especially without Berry's 8.

Also, I don't understand the fans that complain about officiating. Even the officials couldn't help this team with the ACC Tourney if they continue playing like this.

Yep . . . Thank God for Berry today, he has 1/3rd of our total points.
 
32-24 for the Cards under 4 to go...Carolina getting nothing from Paige, Tokoto, Meeks, Jackson or Johnson..cannot win unless someone can score

Have you seen the disparity in fouls and free throws.

Rozier just pushed off stepped back and they called UNC for a foul. What a joke. Incompetent officiating is ruining this league. There is no integrity left.
 
Louisville definitely has the more talented team overall. UNC players have got to play smarter... much smarter. I just don't think they have that ability.
 
Down 5 at half . . . could've been a lot worse.

15 points from our starters in the 1st half.
 
I swear JP is one of the best finishers when driving to the hoop in college basketball. He also is one of the worst shots from 10-15 feet out. Do the math and he should drive every time. He could foul out the bigs of Louisville on his own. But gosh - his shooting from the outside will be a big detriment in coming back.
 
not sure why britt is playing. Berry was tremendous.

UNC down by 5, coincidentally that equals the free throws made advantage by lville (8-12, UNC is 3 for 5).

Will probably need a few more threes from Berry if we are going to make this game interesting.
 
It ain't just our players. Harrell picked up a foul very early in the first half, but UNC didn't challenge him again to try to put him in foul trouble.
 
Hope Roy breaks a clipboard or two at halftime....

Berry to hit a few more threes
Hicks and James to keep Harrell out of the paint
JP to drive instead of shooting and please only safe passes
Britt to hit some free throws down the line
Meeks to box out the bigs and make them work on defense
Johnson to go hard to the hoop, no bunny moves
Roy to make the right moves when we get in foul trouble.

See, it can be done. Go Heels
 
If Paige is going to score more, I just hope we don't go to 1 on 1 with Paige too much. He just needs to let the game come to him to some degree and not try to force shots.

Not watching, but seeing the comments and looking at box score. It appears that the
Heels played pretty bad and are only down 5. That can be good or bad. If they can
make changes at half, it can be good. If they keep doing what they are doing, it
won't be good. Let's GO HEELS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

That 3 by Rozier highlights what Roy's fast break lacks and desperately needs - a guy who always runs to spot up behind the 3 and can nail it.
 
Louisville up by 1 with under 15 minutes to go. Someone smarter than me explain why Hicks is getting all of this Pt instead of Johnson. And why has Tokoto being Awol on offense
