Two days on and besides Gary's thread there's still too much BS about K, Ky, sulkimom, etc.

Why isn't anyone critiquing Kennedy's singing (OK, maybe we can leave that one) or giving us some scoop on how the night was?

How about more talk on the player intros, the dancing, the recruits etc.

Yeah, and leave out any discussion on Roys Jacket ugh!

Go ahead, the floor is yours. Do your thing!

I'm sure you could go to DI and read yet another 17 page thread on our Late Night event. All they do over there is talk about us.

There are 4 threads on puke or Kentuck (our main rivals), 1 about Pop replacing ratty (national story), , and 1 about Louisville (national scandal) out of 40 threads on the front page. Where is all the overkill peeps keep whining about? Name a team that has less than 10% of their threads about their main rival, I dare any of you!

LNWR was fun to me and the recruits seemed to be having fun!

There will always be threads about rival teams. One of the reasons is to bring attention to negative issues about their team/coach that they don't want to talk about. The same with our team. How many topics on our board about NOA right now? None....We don't want to talk about it...right? You betcha. But our rivals will beat it to death until the NCAA issues a ruling and then for years after . That's fair game. Thus, it's fair game to discuss any negative press they get. I'm going to be all over any negative press they get. Even if it's minor as K's grandaughter getting riduculed in preschool for listing K as the man with the biggest nose in the history of mankind.

A "younger" poster on another site said "LNWR was corny and needs to be revamped". I was not there, nor did I see video on it.

What say you who were there or did watch the stream?

All of the late nights are corny. I mean players singing and skits. dook probably the worst.

Agree that LNWR is pretty terrible. Generally the recruits look bored. The skits are silly and drag things out too much. Player intros and a scrimmage is all that's needed. Maybe make the scrimmage a little longer and spice up the intros similar to how UK does. Let Roy give a 10 min PSA to the crowd and be done with it. IMO, it would be addition by subtraction removing the skits.

Skits are a little silly, but the dance routines are great to me since the players seem to have so much fun. The way the guys interact is in full display and that is valuable to recruits when they see how much these guys love being together! AND it can't be bad thing to see them dancing with our beautiful dance squads!

BTW: I each middle school and to them everything is corney and they never express any joy because it is not cool!

Things is late night should be about the kids (players) having fun with each other, sort of a rite of passage. It is about bonding as a team, want to see a professional show go to Vegas or NYC. Yeah, I agree, it is on the stale side but I don't think it should become a rap concert performance from paid for entertainers. Maybe do things like add a dunking contest, 3 pt shooting pitting the men vs the women similar to events that lead up to all star games. How about maybe a comedic roast where current players or alums could roast the staff in good fun?

Everyone seems so intent to view late night thru the singular lens of the scrimmage and to try to gather some nuggets that will help them set their expectations for the team we will have. That scrimmage is a poor indicator of what our team will be, the kids are not really all that focused on a game, they are more just having fun and being loose. Everyone seems to need to find nuggets of serious in an event that is and should be nothing more than a fun carefree night taken anything but serious. Just my opinion folks.
