ETA: But honestly, that's just modern day baseball. Just looked up the Braves' LOB numbers, and while they're in the bottom third, they certainly aren't last. And some of the ones in the bottom third are some of the better teams in baseball. Clutch hitting is just dead. It's too much Three True Outcome.
Right? Lol. Kind of a "duh" answer to a "duh" question. Verlander is easily a Top 4 pitcher in the game, if not the best pitcher in the game. To me, the Top 5 pitchers in baseball, in no particular order are:
- Sale
- Verlander
- Bauer
- Kershaw
- Scherzer

And then Snit doesn't even give Moylan enough time to get warmed up before putting him in, and Rosario jumps on the first pitch and ties the game. Then Snit compounds his retardation by letting Moylan stay in to pitch to Nimmo (a lefty) with guys on 2nd and 3rd!! Fortunately, Moylan got him to pop out. Criminy, Camargo and Snit make me want to punch puppies.

This team sucks BBC with runners in scoring position. Runners on 2nd and 3rd and no outs, AND bases loaded with 1 out in the same inning.... we manage 1 fukking run.

Someone who's never attended or seen a baseball game could manage better than Snitker. He has zero clue what the actual fukk he's doing. It is amazing. Each game we win with him at the helm would be made into a saint by the Catholic church it's such a miracle.

The Braves are just conceding games now by throwing out trash like Annibal Sanchez. Not sure why I should care if they don't.
As for actual good baseball teams, Gardner having himself a game tonight for the Yankees! The Astros' one hole is closer. They need a shut down closer. They've blown multiple leads in the 9th inning lately.

And Gleyber Torres wins it with a walk off single! Man that kid is something special!
Remember how we both agreed the Yankees needed people who could hit for average? Well thank the lord they called up Gleyber Torres because he's just about the only guy doing that right now. 21 years old, and he's not fazed by the moment.
Yeah for real. I still think the Yankees lineup is too Three True Outcomes, but the addition of Torres definitely helps a lot.
It’ll help when Didi starts hitting again. Brett Gardner is hitting stride as well. Those two, Torres, and Andujar will have to do most of the small ball stuff.
BTW, unless something changes in the next 35 days, Ozzie Albies is not going to be the starting 2B for the National League. That will be...... the Reds' Scooter Gennett. Check out these stats:

- He terrorized us when the Braves split the Reds 2 games to 2 in a 4-game series. Since the Reds are so bad, we really needed to take 3 of 4 at a minimum. Gennett hit a walk-off homer in one of those games.
Snit brings in a fresh callup to pitch in the 9th of a close game. I give up.
