I'd be perfectly content with a couple of 4* recruits to round out the class, perhaps even more so than 5*'s who are potentially OAD. Continuity is the key!
With you there Arch... but if a Cade or Zaire popped today I’d still be happy.
The core is crucial for solid longevity, got to say I agree with oz, give me CC or ZW, I'm a happy Tar Heel!

And I think those are the only two surefire OADs. Love, Thompson, Sharpe and Kessler all seem like 2-year guys to me. Imagine the lineup with those four as sophomores and a senior Leaky Black.
I think at least 1-2 of Love, Thompson, Sharpe and Kessler will be OAD too just by chance. Love may have the best odds; great length, really good athlete, and can shoot. He seems like an NBA guy.
Ziaire Williams, the 6-foot-8 five-star scorer is coming off another visit to North Carolina and he’s also seen USC officially this fall. He’s got other finalists, but word is leaking that he could be nearing a decision. Two weeks ago, prior to the notice of allegations, I would have said Bryce Thompson was all but a done deal to Kansas. Now? Things have changed a little.

Agreed gthread, some recruits may well opt for November early period (or October for that matter) and not wait until spring, recruiting is a long process and some may be nearing that point that they want to go ahead and nail down their spots.
It’s why I don’t sweat college basketball recruiting these days. It’s so volatile and kids are so unpredictable.

On Zaire Williams IG story, he posted presumably his final 3 (UNC, USC, Stanford). No word yet saying that’s what exactly that Tipton Edit is supposed to be from him but I think it’s safe to say that’s what it looks like! He’s active on Twitter tho tonite so I would expect a post ab it.
I wouldn’t call it speculation. I mean he posted that himself on social media so...
Honestly, if they are 2 yr guys then they may be 4yr guys, that 2021 draft seems to be the one targeted for guys to be able to skip college and go directly to the NBA.

A lot of players repost anything about themselves. Anyway, I think he very well may pick from those schools, but he didn't eliminate the others.

YEP ! This is actually good news for us, a shorter time (the case when he has made all his official visits) line means he is about ready to end his recruitments. Kinda tells me that he right now has a program he is ready to pop for and that now seems to be the case and he not feel he needs to wait till the spring to see how things turn out (example, who stays and who goes).
IMO, the longer Cade's recruitment were to go the more his brother is able to secure him to Okey St (granted that may already be the case and seems like the most likely path). If this is down to the finalists being UNC and Okey st, which I strongly believe is the case, I think a near term announcement is the best we could hope for because we are still very fresh in his mind. I really do not think Ky is a dawg in this one, I think Ky is just the last team he needs to visit to finish out his officials, others may not agree but I do know Roy feels really good about where he is with cade, let's see how this plays out.
I do think ZW and Bryce may be watching to see what Cade does and I don't know if we have room for both if Cade does come to us.
I am a tad bit unclear as to how USC entered the picture and gained recruits interest so quickly.
IMO, I think Stanford has been out for a while ever since he crossed the threshhold to a Top 10 player.
Goes without saying, but we NEED to win this recruitment. If we managed to somehow miss on every single other target, we'd still go into 2020-21 as a preseason favorite and have all the right pieces for a classic Roy-coached tourney team. Obv. not the end of the world if we don't get him, but he just fits so perfectly into our roster compared to anyone left on our board.

Going from Coby to Cole to Caleb as our PGs is like a dream and it will snowball into future recruiting with top PGs seeing UNC as the best destination for their position.

During the first day of action the recently committed to North Carolina floor general was easily my day one stand out.
He hit deep threes, he showed burst to the rim for dunks and most importantly he did all of his scoring in the context of the game while making his teammates look good. There is an air of confidence him right now that is hard to deny and the Heels have landed a guy who is quite capable of stepping right in and taking over for Cole Anthony if Anthony can go to the NBA as expected after one year.

After his Oklahoma visit, Bryce Thompson said he will be making a decision a week or so after the visit.
I will be honest here and just come out and say it as far as officials go we are better than everyone but late nite did is no favors the mc's couldn't remember the players name they didn't connect with the crowd and at times it was down right awkward... complete with an awkward silence after the mc's would say or do something clearly meant to get a pop from the crowd
If the MC's is what cost us Cunningham then we didn't have a chance anyway.
Bryce Thompson, a five-star 6-foot-4 guard out of Tulsa (Okla.) Booker T. Washington, is set to take a final official visit to Oklahoma next weekend, which follows visits to Texas, North Carolina, Oklahoma State, and Kansas. “After Oklahoma, I think we’ll sit down together with my parents and probably make a decision in the next week or so,” Thompson said. (Inside Carolina)
“Great school, great tradition,” said Thompson. “A lot of connections with the family with Coach (Steve) Rob(inson), I’ve built a great relationship with head coach Roy Williams. They’ve got Caleb (Love), Caleb’s been talking to me about coming up there. It’s a great program.
With the recent Love commitment, the UNC staff has made sure to discuss how it sees Thompson and Love potentially playing together in the future.
“In the past they’ve had two guards, Joel Berry and Marcus Paige, so he (Roy Williams) feels me and Caleb could do something special and having those big men in Walker and Day’Ron it really would be good,” said Thompson.
If he chooses the Tar Heels, Thompson would give UNC its fourth Top 25 commitment in the 2020 class. That has not happened before for Roy Williams in Chapel Hill, according to the 247Sports Composite.
Thompson detailed the characteristics of the school he aims to choose in a couple weeks.
"What I’m looking for is a place I can develop as a player, a family atmosphere and I want to win - a place I can win a national championship," he said.
We may have two commits around the end of October....but then it is recruiting so who really knows.

Cunningham goes to Oklahoma State when all is said and done. IMO. He can go there and be the entire show ala Trae Young at Oklahoma, plus his brother is there. That said, Evan Daniels has not posted his pick yet, so there is that.
