This ^^^ not gonna hold my breath tho. Feel a bit better ab Dunn after Zona commit and the incentive we have to now get Sallis (as if there wasn’t one already). Honestly, idk how I feel ab chasing Jabari Smith. May be bound for the SEC
I said we are in good shape with a few recruits. I do apologize for the juvenile comment. That was stupid. My apologies. I just don't think we are so bad off in 2021. With the number 2 class, and no sure fire one and done, that could be holding 2021 back a bit. My aplogies again for that comment.
I tend toward optimism too! I see us swiftly climbing back to our former recruiting prominence. Nobody will get to simply pick who they want anymore, the athletes have too many options and can get exposed to the NBA no matter where they go! I trust Roy because I have seen what he can do when the playing field is not impossibly slanted and I see us on the lips of the elites! #2 Class will become the norm and not an exception and then even the more cautiously optimistic will eat some of that sky pie!

2020 recruiting is more of a crap shoot than any other year. Coaches are not certain there will be a season. Will guys leave without playing? Will ncaa increase scholarship numbers? So much uncertainty around everything.
I agree, so much uncertainty. I stated on another post, K came out and said they needed to play the tournament this year, they couldn’t go two years without at. I think as fans, we agree, bc we love the sport. I believe K wants to play for another reason. He’s still chasing that ghost. He has another battle he’s facing, time. He knows he doesn’t have forever.

K doesn't seem to be recruiting a PG. I guess that means he knows Roach will be around for 2021-22.
Assuming some others of this year's loaded class also return, next year looks like a good year to retire on a championship for K.
Assuming he can ever put it together. He’s done that once w the OAD era. He had 3 top 5 guys 2 yrs ago and should’ve lost 2nd round. Not too concerned ab what goes on up the road. If anything (and call me biased), bet you Roy bags another natty before K calls it. Especially w the class he has now.
D'Marco Dunn cut his list to 7 today(UNC,Vanderbilt,Arizona,Texas,Louisville,Georgia and Clemson). He says he will make a decision in early September and maybe even in the next 2 weeks.
I will say this tho, I think we’re all overreacting a bit w Bachero committing. Still think Keels goes Nova. I say “leverage” bc K will use that to his advantage w Baldwin and Houstan. I think it’s whoever pulls the trigger last will wind up here. So if that means we actually get a replacement for Brooks and whoever else out of the front court leaves, then I’ll take it lol
Does anybody else understand Cals strategy? The guy picked up a 4 star PG just after offering Sallis... is it shotgun recruiting? Like I thought the man had all but sealed Clark?
Covid has absolutely killed this country. This board is like a ghost town. One of Carolina's prime recruiting targets stated yesterday he would be making a decision soon and nothing. Today UK takes a 2021 point guard after offering Hunter Sallis and nothing. For the love of God just let this go away so we can have some normalcy in our lives.
