Dean had Guthridge to turn stiffs into serviceable big men.

Roy, even at the worst points, never had a roster with this little big man talent.

Both share problems IMO. But Hubert’s talent evaluation has been the biggest problem.

This team’s ok on potentially good on the right day. But literally everyone on this team has significant limitations. And no true 2-way player on this roster. Seth is closest but he can disappear offensively with the best of them.

There’s not a lot of DUDES on this team. It’s IJ and RJ (on certain nights now). After that, I don’t know.

How many current college players don’t have significant limitations? Way less than 1 per team right?

When we started to comeback in the 2nd, we ran a few plays where a C / PF caught the ball at the top of the key while the other guards made a break. It forced the defenders to try to multitask and they got lost. We got great results from it. I don't think I saw it again the rest of the way.

Those were staples within the secondary break that Hubert has all but dissolved.
That Lubin dive on the scissors cut was vintage secondary break.

I just can't get over Withers making a 3, and then having three consecutive bone headed mistakes over the next minute.

He can't help himself. It's like Hubert has to pull him off the floor the moment he does anything good, because you know what is coming.

This team can’t shoot from 3 and can’t get offensive rebounds. If you combine those 2 limitations, it makes getting efficient offense almost impossible.

I don’t know what your magic solution is. Y’all really think this UNC team is more secondary breaks away from being a #2 seed?

If you do, you think much more highly of the talent level of this group.

Sadly the Wear twins would actually improve our frontcourt. Though their dad would inevitably screw things up.

Clearly the ACC is too hard for us. We should probably switch to the Missouri Valley Conference. Tyson would immediately revert to shooting 47%. Unless maybe it's coaching. But even our coaches might benefit from easier opponents.

Theo Pinson already confirmed lack of NIL is why our bigs are so bad. There is no "if" here. We didn't have the NIL to get Carolina caliber bigs and it wrecked our season.

You're constant need to insult and scream is worrisome. Especially after you just upvoted my Wear Twins post halfway up the page. You could easily put me on ignore and never see a thing I posted again.

You read the context of that tweet wrong I think unless there is more to it. It looked more like he was laughing at the notion of that argument.
