Coronavirus

ahhhh... okay. We're all doomed! And, it's the democrats who are to blame.

I'm just glad we have a virologist and epidemiologist... and full-blown conspiracy-nut wack-a-loon... all rolled into one person- you- on OOTB who we can trust with objective and reliable sources and "facts", so we can all enjoy a better life.
If you actually listened to the elite scientists and doctors around the world, you'd be equally appallled as me.

Instead, your idea of following the science is to agree that men can have babies and such..

I have been in Ecuador the last couple of weeks. The government down here has no laws regarding mask but about 95% of the people are wearing them, both indoors and out. You even see people wearing mask on bycycles and scooters, which looks find of dumb but whatever.

Getting the vaccine doesn't mean you won't GET the virus.

If you've been vaccinated, and it was effective, you've probably "had" Covid-19 several times. You simply didn't get very ill and your immune system killed it. You may have never knew you had it at all, consciously. But, you technically had it... often.

for the 1000th time already…just like flu and those serious cases were down because of the mask.

just got back from helping our sophomore move-in his apartment and masks are back in blacksburg, but nothing like last year…one bartender said, the school and town are like a blue pond surrounded by a red sea.

Blue pond as in democrats?

I don't plan on getting any more shots, personally. My immune system is pretty strong. I got the first pair last summer and I'll stick with masks in mass indoor locations. I'm rarely around LARGE numbers of people, in close proximity to each other, indoors.

Just curious, but why won't you get any more shots?

As far as I know.

I rarely, if ever, get any kind of upper-respiratory ailments.
If you worked for a company that said you had to get another one or lose your job, would you get another one? Many people were faced with this ultimatum. I’ve had two additional boosters, but mainly because I go over to my 94 year old mother’s house 3-4 times a week To take care of her. I now feel like about 75% of the “facts” the CDC and ”Fauxi” presented to us have been proven false. I trust neither Any more than I trust politicians.

So why did you elect to get the shots originally but have decided against any boosters? If nothing has changed?
Because if I hadn't gotten it, I wanted the antibodies to help protect me from a severe reaction. My cousin spent 9 days in intensive care (December 2020). One of my best friend's brother died from it (August of 2021). His best friend from college died from it (November 2021). I think, all total, I personally know of about 12-15 people that have died or were hospitalized for extended periods of time.

From what I can tell, the virus has lost some of its potency and is becoming much less lethal than the strains of 20/21. So, getting new vaccines isn't a priority.

I don't know if I would get more. I don't work for a company that requires it, so I don't have to bother with that.

I don't think this came from a bat in a wet market, anymore. I think it was engineered and probably had GOF intentions or objectives. I can't prove that, and I don't spend a lot of time thinking or worrying about it. I have no way of ever knowing for sure.

To update my recent exposure. My daughter felt bad for a few days. She had 1 Pfizer shot. I intentionally stayed in very close contact with her and maskless. Felt a little weird at times, but never tested positive, and neither did my wife. I never wear mask unless it's mandated in a certain location, and then I usually stay away from those places . I had 2 shots early on. Only due to how sick I got from covid. Since this recent exposure, I am officially done with covid, not that I wasn't before. Sitting for over 5 hours in a car with my daughter on the day she was tested positive is all the proof that immunity/vaccines work. It's up to the person what they want. I don't look down. On anyone who gets a shot, and don't look up to anyone who refuses. Or vise versa. Our own bodies build immunity so had I not been so sick, I would have never took it. I know it's real, but definitely not the boogeyman it's been made to be

Dems going hysterical about something that indeed wasn’t a big deal.

I know of one person that died after testing positive for covid in 2020. (around 80 years old)

I know of two people that died with in 6 weeks of getting the shot. ( around 60 and 75)

I know one person that had a stroke after getting the shot and will be on blood thinners most likely the rest of her life.(around 48)

Edit to add ages.

I knew only one person that got covid and died. She had gotten the first shot. Covid did not kill her. She had many health issues. Diabetes, Lupus, high cholesterol, hypothyroidism, blood pressure issues. She was placed on a ventilator for a few days but her mom had it removed. Covid put her in the hospital. Her health was already bad.

By contrast, I don't know of anyone (personally, or through people who know people that I know) that had any adverse reaction- certainly nothing extreme- at all to any of the vaccines. Only what I have seen/heard through social media or online. Eric Clapton, for example.
