All time great win vs the dookies. JMO, Hubert is adjusting to coaching this unit. He is orchestrating some matchups in half court sets. He pulled Bacot in the first half and kept him out of foul trouble for the finish. Manek is diving in from the baseline. RJ, who's stepping up, had a much overlooked performance in ball security/offensive execution. He had Leaky and others on Griffin(5pts). He can take the ball from Caleb(like last nite) when RJ exploited matchups on dooks switching on high screen and roll. Great time of the year for the biggest of wins. Cant wait for the ACC tourney to see if its possible that Hubert has the team turning the corner for a post season run.

Dreaming of next year and hoping Hubert develops UNC bench. That is if we have any bench players left from this year.

No one, and I mean no one with a rational thought in their head thinks that we should fire Hubert after coaching us to 24 wins, a win in Cameron, an ACC tourney semi final appearance, a top 3 finish in the ACC, an NCAA tourney lock, all missing 2 of his top 7 contributors, while making coaching adjustments to suit the personnel throughout the season.
NO ONE.
I'm not saying Hubert should be fired but I do fear 5 years of the "enough to keep his job" category. Next year will be tough without some portal help.
Good thing he's shown he can indeed go in the portal and get help.
Next year will define HD’s career trajectory. If it’s as brutal as it appears, his seat will be hot going into year 3. If year 3 is disappointing then he may be gone after his third year.

I really hope he succeeds. He’s a likeable guy and I don’t know how year 3 will be but the optics next year are not good at the moment. He really needs to flip several roster positions with talented experience in the portal.
Of course he has work to do -- but folks act like he was given a loaded roster. We have no idea who's going to go/stay or who will be available in the portal. Just think it's a tad premature to start projecting years down the road as we have awhile before we get a glimpse of the 2022-2023 roster.

Yep. There will doubtless be more competition this time around. Coaches who were ready for it - like Hubert - got the plums. But everybody will be ready this time.

Manek was brought in to be a key member of the team. What has he done? Only put up the best numbers of his collegiate career.
Garcia was also brought in to be a key member. But I guess you blame Hubert for his family's medical issues.
Cam Johnson is also a recent transfer that panned out pretty good I'd say. That might not fit your narrative though.

Manek has become a favorite for most of us, I think, but that's hard to do if you only spend 1 year here. So I hope Hubert brings in a couple of sophs or juniors. That way we get needed experience, but also get a chance to see them grow.

This is what is wrong with today's College basketball. There really should not even be a question about next years team. In a natural common sense procession Carolina returns 3-4 starters, our top few reserves and adds to them a really nice recruiting class.
Carolina should be the ACC preseason favorite next year, in anything short of a freaking bizaro world.
Realistic thinking should include Bacot, Love and Davis returning and flourishing. When has College basketball gone mad to the point that kids leave the University to sit their asses on the bench. Frustration personified.😔

Started only 12 games. Can you really say he didn't pan out after that small of a sample size due to what his family was going through? Hoping he comes back and proves what he can do but I'm sure he'll get granted a medical waiver and transfer closer to home.
McKoy was brought in to add depth and give a few minutes to a depleted roster. You're somehow under the assumption he was brought in to compete for ACC POY.
