That's true. But as I said, winning this year in a down year is not a good enough sign for me. I want to see good recruiting. I don't need top 10 players consistently. But a class like the 2022 class every year is great for me to say Hubert is the right guy as long as he gets 20+ wins every season.
Let's see if any of the sceptics come on tonight and give Hubert some credit for this win. Doubt it!

Well I will go first.. huge win.. I am shocked to say the least. Really not sure how that happened but give Hubert credit for whatever the heck he did. Give the players credit for playing to that level in that atmosphere. That's all I got.
What ever Hubert did was he had his players step to the moment! That was a master piece, what yo u would have expected from Dean or Roy but you go0t it from Hubert Freakin Davis!
This game will go down in history ( the historic UNC vs duke match ups), this one is epic mostly because it was K's last game in Cameron!
I'll go one step further.
That's the biggest regular-season win in North Carolina basketball history.

Finally played the way the Tar Heels should have been playing all year, against elite competition. Took all season to play a complete game, but that's an awesome way to play at tournament time.
Hubert for ACC Coach if the year……Bacot got ACC player of the year wrapped up….bank on it!

Hubert has come a long way in a short time. I’ve been a skeptic, and I’m not sold just yet (more recruiting and building of depth), but that was a damn big win right there. I’m sure he felt immense pressure to win this year, and did what he felt gave him the best chance to do that. It’s worked out pretty well after the last game of the season. In Hubert’s words……. I’m proud of him!

Davis inherited no major recruits coming in, we lose a player many of of thought was a breakout star in Kessler. Davis wins over 20 games anyway.
Last major recruit we had was Cole Anthony, and if you look back, Davis got him here (He had a very nice NBA season this year). We are on the list for GG Jackson, but we are going to fire Hubert?
Don't know if Love and Bacot go first round, but they are definitely pro players, and finally look like pros under Davis!

I will eat my own words. Hubert has turned it around! Pitt game I still don't know what happened but other than that we have looked good! I still will be a lot more comfortable if I can see him land GG Jackson in 2023 class

I will say this.. even though the depth is not as good, heels are better with Manek getting all the minutes instead of Garcia taking a lot of them.

Bacot should get POY.. Manek is the MVP of this team. His play really allows Bacot to do his thing. Very important for Manek to hit shots to make the offense go.
I said early in the season that Manek should start because he does not take space in the paint from Bacot. García took away from Bacot and Manek compliments him.
RJ and Love have to love the assist they get from passing to Manek….easy pickings
