Davis is the coach. He's going to be the coach. Whatever should have happened is irrelevant and opinion. Refusing to accept what did happen is weak. He does the same thing regarding the football coaches. I may not agree with their decisions, but I have no control over it. Sure, we can go on and on about what should have happened...and, we are...but, it's not going to change anything.
Keep that in mind the next time the redskins ownership comes up.

Like when he told me I lost credibility for attending the Rolling Stones concert last year. Below is a photo of the other folks that lost credibility on that amazing night.

By far the most overrated band of all time.

I know the record doesnt show it, but I think Stack has Vandy on tye upswing. They have actually beaten a ranked opponent in Arkansas. Played Auburn tough. Played Tennesee and Kentucky tough twice each, and Stack has a pretty good class coming in next year with three 4 star recruits. Imagine how his recruiting would be at UNC, especially the 2024 class, which I think has 7 top 80 players in NC. Including another Felton, Raymond Feltons cousin.

Leaky just started acting like he cares. Brady fights but is a liability on defense. Bacot seems to be an island type of guy to me.

RJ tries but his height is a problem as you saw last night and he just can’t stay in front of his man.

Love problem is that he defers too much. The coach tells him to go inside to Bacot and he overdoes it….sometimes turning it over to try to get the ball inside. Last night he didn’t take a shot until about the 7 minute mark. Then he went on a tear.

I think Hubert should change our style of play for the guards instead of Bacot. RJ thrives in an up tempo game and so does Love. This half court old style game is a thing of the past. Roy won because he played an up tempo game for much of his career. His big men ran the floor….and had to if they wanted to thrive in that offense. We play a style that benefits one guy.
Yep..big men running the court was a thing of beauty.

With a stretch 4 like Manek I thought he would be perfect for secondary break action. Either open 3s at the top of the key or easy entry passes to Bacot because of the spacing

Now they just trot down court and let the defense set up.

If the coach the previous 2 years had left UNC basketball slip, should that coach have been allowed to name his successor? If that named successor had been the top assistant during that 2 year decline, should anybody have wanted him as successor?
This is an impressively bad take. So the AD should have said, "I know you've won multiple national championships, are an all time great CBB coach, and have been to multiple final fours, but you really weren't good the last two years of your 28 years with the University, so we're going to sideline you."

If any AD anywhere did that they should be fired.

Maybe it's a British Invasion thing.

Today's game may tell the tale about the season. Do the Heels bounce back or do things spiral out of control? I'm not particularly optimistic.

I mean, how does the team come out and play that poorly at home against a bad Pitt team? They play like they don't care, but I don't think it's that. I think it's our heavy reliance on jump shots. When we shoot well, we win. When we don't, we lose.

Bacot is inefficient in the post, and he gets exposed every time we play a team with good bigs. Big problem. Hubert hasn't developed a bench and lets Love and Davis do whatever they want with no repercussions. Another big problem. As my dad would say, it's a big damn mess is what it is.

We just shot poorly in that game…..very poorly….everybody did at least in the first half.
Bacot got man handled down low.

We had 13 turnovers but they had 18

If we hit those open shots in that game we win.

True, and exactly what I just stated. If you have to be hot from three to win, you're in trouble. We're in trouble.

this is VT's Super Bowl. UNC is down and they would love nothing more than to embarrass us.

We can be embarrassed? If Wednesday night didn't do it, nothing will.
We have to get stops and shoot well…no doubt…Bacot got to get tougher and not miss point blank shots……and hope that Love scores 20…as we are undefeated when he does for some weird reason.

Yes Hubert has effectively stopped the Carolina fast break and secondary break.

In the 2nd half today it was just exhausted starters walking up the court, dribbling down the clock, and jacking up a deep shot as the shot clock expired for the final 11 minutes.

The starters averaged 36 minutes each yesterday because Hubert hasn’t even tried to develop any depth, so we’ll continue being schizophrenic and getting our asses kicked by good teams. Great coaching, ain’t it?

Were you one of the posters who was critical of Roy for playing too many players and wanted him to tighten the rotation ?

This team has been blown out by 17, 29, 28, 22, 20, and 9 AT HOME TO PITT, which is like another 30-point beatdown. It’s gonna take a lot more than beating a mediocre VT on the road to turn me into Mr Positivity. All it takes is a win, any win, for some of you. THAT is called lowering the bar and is the recipe for mediocrity. I’m out.

Was there a more Dr. Jekyll and Mr Hyde UNC team than 1989/1990?! Is it a ka-winky-dink that Hubert was on that team? I’ll never forget the Oklahoma game. One of Deans finest coaching jobs

I remember vividly where I was when that game was played. I was in the kitchen of Ryan's Steakhouse on West Market St in Greensboro. Saturday night, we were busy as hell, and I was the lead cook. A co-worker brought one of those tiny-ass TV's to work and had it set up in the kitchen. The manager was pissed because it was taking me so long to get food out and threatened to take TV out of kitchen. I told her if she took out tv, I was going with it. TV stayed in kitchen. I almost fell on the grill when Fox hit that shot. I was yelling and screaming. Some customers thought someone had gotten hurt in the kitchen. That was a crazy game.

We still need a Miami loss this week to avoid Dook until ACCT Championship game. I really would like to play Wake and ND in the ACCT.

I already said in another post I'll admit I have liked Hubert's energy on the sidelines. The way he's clapping and telling his players to go. It seems like he is wanting to win the same way we do.

I am happier now than I was when I made the post. However, Hubert's 2023 recruiting class will really tell the big story and is what will define his place here. I know it's still kinda early, but the 2023 class is not in a good spot right now.
