Apparently the goal is to increase black representation everywhere except global brand icons.
Shouldn't there be a statute of limitations on some stuff? It's one thing to point out that a particular building is named after a racist and for everyone to suddenly be "woke", but Aunt Jemima has been in existence, blatantly not hiding on the shelf for eons and I've never heard anyone complain.
People have been complaining about washington RedSkins for quite awhile, and silent Sam, etc, but has anybody heard a complaint about Aunt Jemima before now?
The real story of Aunt Jemima is actually empowering for black people.
I think we’re in the classic state of “over correction” regarding this stuff now.
It's mostly white people feeling shame. And, maybe the removal of imagery will produce less FUTURE racists. The white racists we have now aren't going to care about logos and imagery being removed.
This is a pretty interesting video. Even if you only watch the Muhammad Ali part that is near the beginning. It really does give you some perspective on just how "white" is perceived as good and "black" is perceived as bad, in our culture. :

I know! It's much less likely that one of the 500+ pit crew members or workers at the speedway are racist and much more likely that Blackie Wallace has never experienced racism in his life and now he's just making this all up because he's a publicity whore who didn't get enough attention.

They have the evidence, and we should know soon enough. If they don't release the information, or claim it wasn't able to be determined, that would probably fuel the conspiracy side.
