Is Mr. Floyd's Death Being Used To Change All Of Society?

I’m just looking for examples. For instance, are businesses required to hire a certain number of white people? Does the NFL have a rule possibly named after an owner that states white candidates must be interviewed for positions before hiring? Are colleges required to bring in less qualified white students over more qualified black students? Are those ways in which whites have an advantage?
Nothing humorous about you hinting that or pretending that reverse-discrimination means poor black person isn't more disadvantaged than poor white person. Is your offing date on the calendar? ;)

Like I thought. No rational response to the measures put in place to “even the playing field”. For Christ’s sake, what the f*ck else can be done.

Oh, I see. We can cancel Paw Patrol. I bet that fixes everything.

Nevermind.
Oh. Also not humorous, but your early comments were "how does poor person of color vs poor white person have different race-based experience in life".

If your question is about how we can "even the playing field", it needs to start early in a person's life. Changing "stop and frisk" isn't going to help someone who lost their job due to court-dates and legal troubles that happened to them only due to skin color. But it can help future generations.

Regarding racist attitudes, I have racist biases, even most black people have racist biases. You can give me training, but it probably won't change me. For adult POC, it is almost too late in many cases for a systematic change to undo what has been done. But system change can help future generations.

Of course things like ending stop & frisk are obvious but the bigger things to me are things that happen to school-age kids. Studies show children in schools are treated differently based on race even when you remove the state, region of country, wealth of the school, etc.

No, cash will make it better. I heard figures from $1-17 trillion in reparations thrown around by ‘black leaders’. My question is who gets paid, and how will those payees be verified as descended from slaves?

yep, apologies and hatred of the slavery era have been going on for a long long time ... the only things left are blood and money.

i think we should erect a statue depicting the cop kneeling on Floyd’s neck. Just so we don’t forget the historical significance of it cause you know without statues history is destroyed.

I'm already raising funds for a statue dedicated to Paw Patrol.

On another note, I'm currently watching reruns of Law & Order before that gets taken off the air too.

It was sort of tongue-in-cheek/facetious on my part to uncboy. Your last sentence was: "Is that racist enough for everyone?" To me, that came-off as sort of a self-deprecating admission of being racist. It wasn't meant as a serious labeling of you. If you don't think you're racist, or ever exhibit racist attitudes, perspectives, opinions or actions, then it doesn't matter what anyone else says, or thinks. But, you can't be too surprised when anyone else disagrees with you.

instead, in today's climate of racism mentality, you should be shocked if someone doesn't.

No argument here.

I shit on old white guys on here because they act just like stereotypical old white guys and it's extremely humorous/kinda frightening/kinda sad.

EDIT: And I'm sure that crew sees me as a woke northern know-it-all millennial. In which case I think they'd be half right (I'm definitely northern, probably woke in their standard of woke but not at all woke compared to people up here, definitely have a know-it-all poasting style, but I don't think I'm millennial born in 83).
and that explains it. I was going to post the same thing at some point but you would have tried to counter me with bullshit. Much better that you point it out yourself. You think you're a con because you dwell among commies and ultralibs in your northern shithole. You don't have the perspective to understand that you are not actually conservative; you just think you are by comparison to your surroundings.

I’d imagine starsky and hutch reruns where they routinely rough up suspects and lean on racial stereotypes (huggy bear) wouldn’t go over real well

No, I just don't fit into your box. I'm a moderate, I agree with conservatives on some things and liberals on others.

I'm anti-gun (lib), I think we should shrink welfare and unemployment (cons), pro-choice (lib) but against late term abortions in most cases (cons), against all wealth taxes (cons), think we should keep insurance mostly privatized (cons), and completely against illegal immigration and sanctuary cities (cons).

I'm very fiscally conservative and that is the thing I care most about. So I'm registered Republican and have voted probably 65/35 that way in my life across national/local elections.

You're just way too simple-minded to actually understand someone can feel differently about different issues and isn't a slave to a particular political party. This doesn't surprise me at all.

Lol what does being conservative even mean anymore? That status was pretty concrete even as recently as 5-10 years ago, not so much now.

I love how you rag on “northern shit holes” when the Deep South has some of the most raggedy, backwoods, impoverished states in the union.

People that never owned slaves kneeling down to and begging for forgiveness from people who were never slaves should help out also!

The new of the hate cops and white people is starting to wear off in the news its about time to get back to Covid fears!

he said to a man who is almost as conservative as Atilla the Hun in many ways but is a registered democrat. Presumption seems to be your strong suit. That isn't a good thing, BTW.

Besides, YOU are the one who wanted to paint himself as anything but lib.

I could call you a dumbass redneck without any regard for reality. But I doubt anything I say will get your head out of your ass.
if you called me a dumbass redneck, it would definitely be without any regard for reality. But that's your m.o., and for you it's a suitable one.
