I'm glad you think he's coming our way, Dave. But a lot on your board think he's coming to Durham. It's really hard to know at this point, that family has kept a tight lid.
I still think he ends up at Duke. Now more than ever actually. I would love to be wrong though. If not, would love to have Hamilton. TBH, Roy has shown he can win regardless and I think Felton is going to be really good early. With the steps our freshman take and if Berry comes back next year will at the very least be a lot of fun.
Let em knock themselves out. They think everyone is going to go there.
Hamilton I don't think is leaving Illinois seems like a kid intent on putting illini basketball back on the map

I've seen a guy claiming to know Knox's dad saying he's been Dook's to lose for a while. And then of course, there is several UK guys that think he's going there and i'm sure the barrage from their commits at the McDonald's game doesn't hurt. I'd love for him to pick UNC but I believe it'll be Dook in the end.
Im trusting HeLooks2MuchLikeDave on this one and say Knox is coming to UNC. He has been around the Tampa Catholic program, and has been saying this for a while. Plus he is a Dook fan so it must suck for him to say it. One thing ive known, when bleed says something on a recruit, you listen. He thinks UNC also.
I'm just hoping the Heels will close the season with a title. I'm not too concerned about Knox's decision. I'd love to have him but can't affect his choice. Again, I think his heart says UNC, his brain dook. We should know in the next couple of weeks, right?
I love and want Knox at UNC even more after the All-Star Game yesterday. He is a true talent and would absolutely thrive as a Tar Heel! OAD will happen even if he goes to the University of Guam!
On a side note: Hopefully, Roy can get in on the Tilmon recruitment provided he actually gets a release! Talk about vaulting our recruiting class to the top level; how would it look with these two studs!

I don't know Arch, I think Knox is a huge recruit. He can help out in a lot of ways. If Berry returns, and Knox commits, then I feel confident in back to back to back Final 4 trips. Also, you would think it would help a ton on the recruiting trail. Landing a top 10 recruit amid all the junk (it's criminal Jalek isn't a top 10 recruit IMO) I think would be huge!
Oh, I agree completely. But the older I get, the less I let myself get caught up in recruiting. I think we've done everything possible, short of winning the national title, to put our best foot forward for Knox. And we're the only one of his final four teams that is still in the title chase. I'm content with that.
So I hope we get Knox because he seems to be a fine young man and because I think he would make us a strong contender again next year. A potential starting lineup of Joel, Theo, Kevin, Luke, and Tony makes me smile.
Knox said yesterday that he'll do in-homes with all the coaches again.

I wonder if Carter and Trent know this? Not to mention Duval. One of Knox's listed areas of improvement is shooting off the dribble. I just don't think a guy who needs to improve in this area will be doing a lot of free lancing. It is going to be hard to recruit against a coach , who is willing to tell a guy who might be the 4th or 5th best player on the team that he is going to be the "star". I like Knox , but he is "No Lebron James" and probably not even a "Harrison Barnes".
K has recruited SF well and there a few good Duke SFs in the league but Knox will be a stud wherever he goes and this type of sales pitch seems out of the ordinary for how K once approached recruits.

I honestly don't see Knox as a OAD and if he went to Duke with or without Allen or Kennard I wouldn't think he'd be the star. But it doesn't matter what I think, these days every kid in the top 25 thinks they're OAD.
This is pretty ridiculous. If Kennard comes back I don't think there's a wing in college basketball that could "star" on the offensive end over him. Dude is a stud.

That's the downside to being wrong, you are labeled a troll. I said from the start that there was a special pull to UNC and I've been saying that on DI as well. His school knows where he is going; has known for a little while now. My friend in the guidance department has been especially tight-lipped but she isn't as clever as she thinks she is. I personally believe its UNC. But ... some of the timing issues don't add up.
so you're saying he has made his decision and his high school knows but he hasn't informed the college yet? I'm not saying you're wrong but it just seems a little odd to me and I would think that information would have leaked from his high school if that was the case.

Well unless Tilmon is going to be OAD that would be a very poor decision on his part because Porter won't be there more than a year and that program is a dumpster fire.
No I'm saying someone in the guidance office knows his decision. I guess I worded that poorly. He and his family are super tight lipped and the general "understanding" around campus is that it is complete toss up between the 3 non Florida schools (not counting Mizzou) even to this day. But I think it's a forgone conclusion, I really do.
As far as a timing issue I find it hard to believe with an announcement at the MJ event that it would be anything other than UNC . jmho
Please link where he has said he'd announce at the Jordan classic? Everything I've read said he would announce the following week. Has that changed?
It's a little vague like everything else with this recruitment, whether they meant right after or days after.
