NFL 2018-19

Harbaugh should be fired for not putting Flacco in the game down 23-3. Yeah, I know the Ravens made it close but Jackson is not a good passer. He reminds me of a Georgia Tech qb running around and lofting up some bullshit that somehow gets lucky and completes it. NFL defenses will have him figured out next season and he’s gonna end up like RGIII.

totally agree, on both points.

he’s very thin as well and at his run rate, his career will end soon...he’s averaging almost 17 rushes a game.

eta: i should add not all designed, but as you said, not a great arm so his instinct will always be to take off.

RGIII had more zip and was more accurate, and probably only ran the ball about half as many times per game as LJ. And we see how long he lasted. I’m not wishing injury on the dude but he’s not gonna survive long doing what he’s doing.

that kicker better change his address and phone #

think about foles now...he’s a free agent and wentz????
Philly won’t let wentz go. But man they need to figure out a way to keep Foles. I’m not really an eagles fan but it’s hard not to like the Foles story. Can he possibly do it again? That dude is now 7-0 in do-or-die games in the last 2 years.

Foles will have to have the game of his life to beat Brees in the dome.

Damn.... That was an awesome football game. A shame that Mitch's dime throw to put the Bears in position to kick a GW FG now gets forgotten in NFL history. Damn... Kickers.

That missed FG was insane. If the ball was spinning in the other direction after it the upright, it probably would have gone over after the second bounce.

Wouldn’t that have been cool to see it bounce off the crossbar and go through for the win?

Anyway, apparently an eagle player got some finger tips on the ball. So the kicker gets the blame but a lineman didn’t do his job well enough either.

I wouldn't want to the be the Bears kicker right now.
Does anybody remember Bartman - Cubs fan? I know the Cubs had the longer drought and Cubs fans are more in love with themselves, but yeah - Chicago fans take their sports fairly serious, I think. It will be bad to be him. On TV last night he looked like he had terminal cancer or lost his whole family. I feel really bad for him. His teammates and coach were outstanding in supporting him though.

Its a kick he should've made. But if several other Chicago players make one more play they should've made throughout the game, (like on two fourth downs on defense) - it doesn't come down to the kick. Its not all on him.

as a cowboys fan, i’d rather play the rams...however, **** the eagles.
100% agree on both points. I at least can conceive of Cowboys beating current state Rams in LA....zero chance Cowboys go INTO New Orleans and beat them again, with a week of rest for Brees and everyone else. Cowboys COULD have a chance to run against Rams, and the Rams offense seems to have tapered off some at end of year, with injuries, too.

No news here, but (I believe) Eagles (Philly) fans are the worst (meanest, most classless, vile, violent, degraded, ahole) fans in all of sports, and its not even close. That's just not me being a Cowboys fan. You hear all sorts of stories about stuff like fans dousing beer on opposing team's player's wives, throwing beer cans and rocks at fans walking to the stadium, etc. I think the Linc even added an in-stadium jail to incarcerate drunk and violent Philly fans after game day. Nice.

Actually - Pederson, Foles, Wentz, etc. I'm OK with. Its the fans who are off-the-chart horrible.

The Bears and Cubs are different in Chicago. The Cubs hadn't won since 1908 and that can turn any fanbase into a bunch of deranged morons when the Bartman stuff happened.

The Bears are in a similar cultural position. They last won a Super Bowl in 1985 (technically in 1986). More importantly, the Bears have been basically irrelevant since 1990 other than like a 3 year period in the mid 2000's. That city is starved and it's a Bears town. So I'm not surprised at the reaction.

This is what happens in cold weather cities. Football is part of a cold weather city's DNA. I mean, if this happened to Philadelphia last year, their kicker would have to go in witness protection.

What a freaking football game though. Feels good to say the Bears don't suck anymore.
