awesome watching that talent in dallas look unprepared and under coached...the patriots adjust series to series, dallas adjusts month to month.
Shocker, am I right? Who saw that coming?
Garrett to Belicheck in coaching is like comparing Rutgers to Ohio State in college football this year. Epic mismatch. Still - this was such a winnable game - New England's offense was mostly poor - scored 3 points outside of the two early basic turnovers Dallas gift wrapped for them. It feels like through 11 games Dallas must be about -20 in the turnover differential.
I'm surprised the team and coaches didn't show up wearing their September Miami short sleeves and sun visors gear. They get ambushed and crap the bed every single week early in the game. Happened again yesterday. How does it take until basically halftime to figure out Dak can't throw well in this weather without a glove?
Comically bad special teams. I think that special teams coach is getting fired before this Thursday. They got 6 yards total on 3 returns, missed a FG (dumb to even kick it there), had a punt blocked, gave up a ton of yards on punt penalties, and were lucky to recover one kickoff they couldn't even catch in the air. Terrible.
I am guessing Jerry Jones may see himself as a good friend of Robert Kraft of the Pats, and sees himself as running a franchise on the same level as Kraft's Pats. Which is fall down laughing hysterical, delusional. I think that is why it PO'd Jerry so much that he came out with strong words about "100% this game was about coaching and we 100% got outcoached". I'm not sure if Cowboys make the playoffs this year - I'd put it at 50-50 just because Philly is a mess too, but I'm thinking Garrett is gone even if they win one game in the playoffs, which I'd put the chances at about 20% at best even if they do make the playoffs. I'd say its a 80+% chance Garrett is gone. He could be gone before end of year if Cowboys go belly up in the next two games. Both are must wins.
There's no shame in losing at New England, especially when NE gets some timely, questionable officiating help.....but that's what makes losing to Jets, losing to a Brees-less Saints, gagging at home against a just OK Packers and Vikings team. they should be 2-2 at worst in those games.
Oh - and Jason Witten needs to re-retire. He looked terrible on two important passes, right through his hands.
