No Hell below us... above us, only Sky! There is no Hell- Bible says so!

Which brings up an interesting question for me. For those who read, study and believe every word of the Bible... does God tell us that he has given "Satan" this power to torture us for eternity? Is Satan the master of that kingdom called Hell now? What is the story on that? I'm sincerely asking.

According to the bible satan is currently the ruler of earth. (Hence disease and natural disasters and such) He wont be cast into hell til the end times. Even then he wont be the ruler of it. Just in it. Til hes let out again a thousand years later to fool everyone again. (We just wont learn). Then hes thrown into the lake of fire. Sux to be satan for sure.

But strum will say that's a misinterpretation. Hell is a place created for the lost souls and some of the fallen angel bound . Satan will be in hell for that thousand year millinnial rule by Christ. Loosed for a short season. Then cast into the lake of fire. Strum, why even bother with the Bible if you only taking the parts to suite your argument. I believe the whole book.

Nice job there.

All I can say is there have been many almost miraculous things happen in my life that were what I KNOW we're the result of my rosary prayers that I pray occasionally.... Things I cannot explain even to myself, yet some would say the rosary is "not biblical" and think that's just hogwash. God is so much more than most people realize. God is in everything.

Yep, only reason I'm still here, should have been dead twice.

It's not a "misinterpretation", it's one of billions of interpretations.

I don't believe that. The book of JOB (one of the oldest books of the Bible) starts off with Satan asking God permission to mess with Job. Satan rules nothing, only has authority where God allows.

God is the creator of everything, including Satan and other "bad" things. He allows things to happen (good and bad) for His reasons which we may never understand in our human reasoning.

We're with God even while we are IN these bodies. We are NEVER separated from God! I know I'm not. I KNOW it!

Same here. Every minute, every second of every day. Strum, I don't think most people get what you're saying. They allow their ego to block them from seeing it or hearing and I doubt many try to sit still and actually feel it.

SIN separates us from God. Yes, many times I feel very close to him and feel his love for me. But the minute Sin crepes in, we are no longer close to him. I have never figured out how to live a sinless life, if you have please share.

You think God leaves you when you sin or "do wrong?" It's impossible for us to leave God. It's no more possible than for your hand to voluntarily leave your body. Again, this is more religious doctrine. Basically, it's like "If we tell them they need us to get to God, then they'll keep coming back." I know without a doubt that God NEVER leaves me. I never leave God. I may have times of doubt, and I may have times when I do things I regret. But, that doesn't mean I'm apart from God.

WOW! You twisted that one 40 ways from Sunday!

NEVER heard a Pastor say anything like that! We need God not man, think every Pastor knows that.

I dunno if they "get it" or not. It's not really for anyone else to "get." I get it, for myself! ;)

We each have to find it for ourselves. We can share it and hope others can relate to it. I think most people here do relate to it. But, our own unique experiences with life, family, nationality, religious affiliations and interpretations, make us unique in how we ultimately figure it out.

Well, I'm not a pastor. I'm not looking for people to follow me. I heard this recently:

"A true master doesn't have the most followers. A true master creates the most masters."

Why do you think that?

For one, think about what ego is. What are things ego says, does, thinks? Ego wants, needs, deceives, separates/divides, is self serving. By default man is often consumed by ego.

I don't have time tonight to go into it but when you see the difference between the soul and your ego you begin to see and feel things a bit differently. When I read the bible now I ask if it is scripture that sounds like MAN'S ego or from the soul, which I believe is God and there cannot be ego with God.

I am a Pastor and I want NO ONE to follow me. They need to set their sites much higher.

Now see this is where it starts getting confusing for me. If we have God in us, wouldn't we want others to also see God in us which could lead to them recognizing God in themselves and living in peace, love and forgiveness?? And for the ones who see God as being separate from us you too would want to live as you believe God wants you to, thus following you as well, in a sense?? Goodness gracious all of this religion stuff is too confusing. It seems like with God being infallible, the messages all those men received from God would be unmistakable and would not cause so much confusion and division. It does make me question if we are getting everything in the bible directly from God or is it a little bit of God and a whole lot of man/ego in there. Thank goodness we have the ability to be with God all the time.

While we should ALL live our lives in such a way that others indeed do see Jesus in us that does not make us equal to him.

Never forget, "religion" is man made, God wants a personal relationship with each and every one of us.

Oh I know religion is man made and comes from the man made bible. That's why I rely on God that is always in me for my guidance. I'm not out doing things that are harmful to myself or others. I don't need the rule book for that. God shows me all the time. When I have done things that were not positive for myself or others I have soon known that I needed to take another direction.

That "still small voice" guiding you is the Holy Spirit. We would all do well to listen and learn when it speaks to us. :)

We will have to agree to disagree on God's Holy Word.

I don't think any of us understand God. We all have it wrong to some degree. I would be less likely to follow a God I understood anyway. That is why I prefer to focus on trying to love like God, love like Jesus, and be the best I can that way.

In other words ........................

"For now we see through a glass, darkly; but then face to face: now I know in part; but then shall I know even as also I am known."
