Nice win. If we can somehow take care of Cuse and ND, we win the ACC.

Crazy. It's also not happening.

nice lax win at UVA although I was watching the Masters and missed most of it

They have a tough road ahead but this win will help their confidence and positive mo going forward

Was our faceoff game better today than against Duke? Or did we kinda just play all around better?

And great work Diamond Heels! Really playing damn well right now.

We killed them on FOs today. Something like 25-6. We shot better too.

This team plays better away from Fetzwr, which gives us a glimmer of hope as next week is @ Kenan and the following week in South Bend.

Has anyone seen Boston College's baseball "stadium" (I use the term very loosely)? Other than the infield grass, it bears a close resemblance to the stadium where I played Little League baseball in Podunk, KY. Seating capacity is about 50 people. WTH?

The ramp all those people are standing on to the left of the shot leads to the football stadium. Apparently the parking deck underneath is the seating venue of choice haha.

Sorry, I had never heard about/seen this until this weekend's game so had to share.

BC's link to Notre Dame is the only reason they're in the conference. But hey, at least they field a baseball team. Looking at you, Syracuse...

I'd like to see the ACC -- with the onset of the ACC Network soon -- mandate all schools make an effort to start fielding teams for all ACC sports.

Speaking of the ACC network, what do you guys think about the digital network so far? I know @TarHeelNation11 has used it and I think @Raising Heel has used it as well. I've only watched baseball games on it, but I think the production value is pretty good and there isn't much difference between the digital network and games that are on regular TV in my opinion.

I. Love. It.

It means more coverage of non-revenue/Olympic UNC sports and I can watch on my TV instead of a laptop or phone. The production value is surprisingly adequate considering baseball games on GoHeels.com the last few years had no game status on the screen -- pitch count, outs, innings, etc. -- other than maybe the score IIRC.

ETA: Can someone clarify what the upgrade will be when the ACC moves to a "Network" instead of the current "Digital Network?" Because we're already getting a huge menu of events and HD quality broadcasts.

You lost me. How are you getting it on your TV? To my understanding, ACC Network is only online right now.

Roku, my friend. I can watch either via the SlingTV app (which has an ACCDN channel) or the ESPN3 app.
All the Roku / SlingTV app are doing is converting ACC Digital Network "broadcast" to a channel, for you.

It exists as an online-only entity right now. I'm 99% sure on this. In 2019 or whenever, it will convert to an actual TV channel a la SEC Network.

Oh, and maybe you answered my question. An ACC Network would be available to cable subscribers i.e. watchable on their TVs. Since I've cut the cord I've basically already got it.
Right. You've got it, but really you've got it as an online stream like everyone else. Though it's online only like ESPN3, unlike ESPN3, there's only one ACC Network production on at a time. You saw it a lot during basketball season.

I guess that's why SlingTV is able to present it as a "channel." It's not like ESPN3 where there's like 30 games running concurrently.

All my content is streaming, though. There's no discernible difference for me as the end user which is awesome.

That's incorrect. Sling provides the exact same ACCDN content as ESPN3. If I select the ACCDN on Sling, it takes me into a sub-menu that has dozens of events listed. On a busy weekend there might be 6-8 live events available at any given time.

Well then I know nothing.

Well, I guess you can't expect them to have a really nice baseball stadium/field - when they use it as a f'ing parking lot for tailgating during football games. This is Shea Field (the BC baseball field) during football season (the cars are parked on the outfield, at least they have the common sense to keep the diamond, off camera to the left, clear of cars) - with hundreds of cars driving all over it as their main tailgating parking lot. I've tailgated there, and I was dumbfounded when I realized we were on their varsity baseball field. Can you imagine if they allowed hundreds of cars to just go driving over Boshamer Stadium?

What a disgrace those clowns are.

Staying on the subject of baseball, North Carolina plays South Carolina tomorrow night at BB&T Ballpark in Charlotte, home of the Triple-A Knights (White Sox affiliate). The weather is going to be perfect and it's a beautiful stadium that's only been open for 3 years. Some friends and I had partial-season tickets the year after it opened but we haven't kept those up.

Anyway, the 356 different college baseball polls all have UNC ranked either 4th or 5th while USCjr is ranked anywhere from 11th to 17th. Chad Holbrook, the coach of the Gamecocks, is a former UNC player, coach, and alumnus for those who don't know. Should be a fun game. I'll be there eating BBQ nachos and sipping on IPAs like a hipster.

I'll be down in Charlotte tomorrow evening/night. May have to head on over.

Right, because I was the only one who thought we zero chance to win a natty after the ACCT loss. We couldn't even beat out meat on the road all season.

Yeah, you pretty much were the only one who thought we had ZERO chance.

Plenty of people didn't think it looked good though.

Small but important difference.

You brought this upon yourself, which is why it's kinda messed up that the rest of us have to suffer too.
In The Poast, I said I would subject myself to any punishment, be it avatar change, temporary or permanent ban from discussing basketball on OOTB, etc. Y'all ran with the avatar thing.
