Not sure if serious.

Brittany Griner broke Russian laws. She was in no way unfairly detained.

The fact that we would even consider Griner before getting Whelan home shows exactly how awful this current administration is.
Im no fan of the swap but Whelan was busted red handed with stolen Russian state secrets in a sting operation set up by his frequent visits to Russia as a “security consultant” for….ready?….an auto parts dealer. His defense is almost laughable. There’s a reason Russia steadfastly refuses to budge on any deals for him, it’s because they think he’s guilty af. Dude was kicked out of marines for stealing and by all accounts appears to not be the beacon of virtue portrayed in the media. Seems to me his detainment is as legit by Russian standards as griners. I wouldn’t swap for either though and let the Russian rot here. Play stupid games….

No objective political observer would say this. Why does everyone think Russia is so mighty? They have a one dimensional economy, an overrated army, a horrendously corrupt government, and one of the worst birth rates in the world. They're getting spanked by a country they were expected to steamroll in a matter of weeks.
...and yet that's who Biden went down on. The object of your obsessive hate would never have taken one in the poopchute from Putin.

To add insult to injury, the political low-life waited until after the mid terms to drop his pants in front of the world.

What? Just because he traded Griner for an arms dealer all of a sudden everything is ruined?

No, you're right. Trump would just praise Putin and probably make all sorts of dubious, yes, no, maybe statements about whether or not he'd support Ukraine. He talked about leaving NATO multiple times. That's a guy I want in office standing up to the Russians lol.

All you have to do to get Trump's allegiance is to shower him with praise. He'll do anything you want him to do.

and there you go doing what you always do. You surmise, out of animosity, what Trump would do while minimizing what we all saw Biden actually do. Your next step is to claim my 'opinion' is born of bias, as if what we observed is merely my opinion.

It's not hard to hazard a guess as to what might do given his routinely predictable behavior.

But the point still stands. The value of Griner is nowhere near the value of this arms dealer. It's a minor blip in the grand scheme of things. Russia is going to lose this war.

oh, it's about who will win the war in Ukraine? I thought we were talking about Joe Biden taking it all and then swallowing in an act in no way connected to the war in Ukraine....unless there have been concessions made in that regard that we don't know about yet....which is entirely possible.

Minor blip? No, you're not biased or anything.

and that's exactly my point. Anyone can hazard a guess about anyone possibly doing anything. That's easy, and usually stupid. What's hard is trying to minimize the enormity of Biden actually unleashing a monster on the world for the sake of gaining favor with the LGBQT crowd. What you surmise about Trump is laughable. What Biden did was nothing short of vile.

I'm still confused as to why you're harping on this so much. Yes, by itself, not the best swap we've ever done. But yes the overall conflict in Ukraine is what's most important here. I think we're in a position not only to help the Ukrainians win but to benefit from it.

Sure, but we're talking about Biden being 'weak' in your eyes and how Trump would never have done this. Well if it's illogical for me to surmise what Trump would have done, why is it okay for you? Furthermore, do we even know that this was done to appease the LGBT crowd?

I think we're both doing a lot surmising here.

On Feb. 29, 2022, Donald Trump agreed to the release of 5000 -- that's right, FIVE THOUSAND -- Taliban prisoners during failed peace talks after the Taliban seized control of the Afghanistan government.

I'm sure you'll find a way to try and minimize the enormity of this tidbit of history.

on Feb 29, 2022 I don't think whatever Trump might have agreed to was enormous at all, seeing as how Biden had by then already enormously fvcked up our exit from Afghanistan.

However, in order to instigate peace talks and to the purpose of extricating us from that go-nowhere war WHEN he was in position to do so, he agreed to that release IN EXCHANGE for 1000 prisoners the Taliban held. Even then, that was only what he had agreed to, the Afghan government was who was holding the prisoners.

He did not exchange a prolific gun runner responsible for the deaths of thousands for some worthless America-hater.

If Biden had been a decent enough human being to at least have held out for the release of the ex-marine as well, it still would have been a horrendously weak-assed and immoral move.

Trump would just praise Putin: well, in any analysis of the situation here (and don't try the diversion used above of talking about Ukraine or other things, the topic was The Trade), Putin deserves praise and Biden scorn. He received a former first round pick and gave up an undrafted free agent. Clearly, he won the trade and is worthy of praise.

Trump talked about leaving NATO: that's true, but you leave out the not so little detail that his position was NATO needed us more than we needed NATO and it was time that everyone else payed up as they had agreed so that we stopped funding everything for NATO. Guess what? They started paying.

There is a ton for which to pick on the orange narcissist, but "praising Putin" was just part of the russia, russia, russia fabrication and smear. There are aspects on which one can legitimately praise Putin. It doesn't mean you are his lapdog, fear him, or lick his boots. Trump would never have made this trade. Period. On NATO, the blowhard won. Other countries started paying and we are still in it. Rag on him all you want and let the inherent bias show through, but there are examples that actually support the hate.

I don't think she's going to hell because she's a lesbian, as you as usual nonsensically suggest. But she damn sure shouldn't be returning to the U.S. in exchange for a prolifically murderous POS to be unleashed on the world again to enable many more murders.

Of course, your main consideration as always, is with the lesbian in you. May you eventually find peace with her.

Like it or not (because anything orange did is automatically established as bad by many), Trump got us out of a 20 year war that was never going to be won and would have gone on indefinitely. This was a war that, in hindsight, should have been handled much differently from the beginning and likely should never have been started. It was a war that went through multiple administrations, from both sides, and the Donald was the one who had the gon's to get us out of there for no measurable benefit other than the countless making coin off the conflict. Exactly how do you get out of a war and not release those you have jailed during that 20 year process? You're leaving town and someone else is going to be the new sheriff. Did you expect him to bring home those individuals and jail them here? Heck, we won't even jail our own who are lawbreakers, why would we continue to house those from a land we are leaving?

Buzzard puke? They say the elderly eventually become senile and regress to the mental capacity of second graders. I think we just witnessed your regression. 🤣 🤣 🤣
if I'm a second grader, then the better part of you hasn't even run down your momma's leg yet.

btw, I think it's very telling that all the recent back and forth here has been mostly about orangeman and the insult game. Not any discussion over The Twitter Files or other developments. I guess you are waiting for that page turner final report from the J6 committee to come out and we'll finally be told what really happened.

If Trump got on his knees for Putin, who cares? Putin was under control while Trump was in office. So whatever tactics Trump used, they worked. For our benefit. But ever since Biden got in office, Putin's been off the rails. I'm sure it's just a coincidence though.

Furthermore, do we even know that this was done to appease the LGBT crowd?

Why the f*ck else would the admin have done it? To save an American jailed overseas? Newsflash, there are thousands of Americans jailed abroad, some for not actually breaking laws. And some that have not publicly shit on America when they were free.

What's to discuss? They really aren't that interesting, not much new info that wasn't known previously. And guess what, since the advent of news on paper the the editors have controlled which "letters to the editor" are printed.

They must not have been as tight as you claim.
guess not, so i guess this means Trump is a weak, spineless, pussy america-hater for not freeing Whelan given the opportunity for two yrs?

Obviously, 2022 was a typo I inadvertently made at 7:15 this morning. Did I mention the peace talks FAILED?

Of course, it should have read Feb. 29, 2020, while Trump was still in the White House and already campaigning for a second term which he LOST because of idiotic blunders like this.

5000 monsters > 1 monster.

Absolute Fking false. That “one choice” was just the final doctoring / editing of the story when the fjb admin realized the blowback they’d get for choosing to free a pos America hating dude chick over a marine.
Russia said from the get go whelan would not be part of the deal. It wasn’t a choice. And he’s not a marine. He was kicked out of the marines for being a thief

Right. Plus - the black gay incompetent queen of all idiot morons - who poses as a legit press secretary- what a fking embarrassment - said exactly that yesterday.

Somehow Britney carpet grinder is an inspiration to millions of Americans BECAUSE she is gay and black - and because she regularly shits and spits on the country she grovels to bail her out after her idiotic breaking of russian law. What a freaking inspiration!

Handled Russia well? Russia has invaded Ukraine and gotten back one of the most notorious arms dealers ever under this weak-ass puppet. Remove your rose-colored glasses, Nancy.

Yes, the general response to the invasion has been sound. It matters little who was in power when it happened because generations of presidents failed to see this coming. That includes Bush, Obama, and Trump.

"5000 monsters > 1 monster."

Really? One monster who spreads death and mayhem worldwide compared to 5000 who operate within their own country and mostly have not killed anyone?

Keep trying with your puny midget points. Who knows, you might eventually stumble on one that amounts to something more than your usual little spitballs.

BTW, 1000 exchanged prisoners > 1 worthless anti-American (like you).

again, baseless, unsupported claims, in this case that previous Presidents including Trump didn't see that Russia had designs on at least part of Ukraine. WE did, since it was in the news every day going back to the years of the pro-Russian leaders that we helped boot out, but somehow the Presidents missed it. Presidents should start watching the news I guess. I'm going to put it in the suggestion box at the front gate of the White House.
