OOTB's Political Thread . ..

Speaking of showing his ass . . and it's a fat, lazy one. More crazy shit from the Liar-in-Chief, Captain bone spurs . .

From the article linked:

Newsweek reports that leaked US military assessment documents conclude about Trump's border invasion crisis: no terrorists, no infiltrators, and only a small percentage of the immigrants will reach the border. The reporter who broke the story said that the largest number of senior officers believe that sending the 15,000 soldiers to the border is politically motivated, and that it is a waste of time and money especially given that the number exceeds the size of our entire force in Afghanistan.

It doesn't take that many troops to guard poppy fields.

Reducing a non-monetary cost at the expense of a monetary cost. Whether that's worth it is a matter of opinion.

Carbon emissions costs are not just non-monetary cost. The chickens will come home to roost eventually. Then the monetary costs will be staggering

Who said anything about who has the best job? And since you are doing so well, which I'm happy for you, why don't you just pay a little extra in from now on, you can do that you know.

As noted before I do contribute more than just taxes. I enjoy working with habitat for humanity, and unlike most people my age I actually know how to use a hammer... lol

I can't speak for him, but for me, it's them bringing in third world viruses and bankrupting this country, mainly the latter.
Depending on which ledger you use, the country is well beyond bankrupt. The currency is debt-based. The US treasury doesn't print its own currency. The entire system is fiat and illusion anyway.

Why so afraid of brown people? Are you scared they will come and mow your yard or clean your gutters?

Good point @NoleSoup4U no one even mentions that more than likely none of these folks have had their vaccinations.

True. But I’m still confused how a few thousand people will have any significant impact on the budget...

Wouldnt it be awesome to be deployed away from your family over the holidays to the southern border to intercept a caravan of migrants and refugees walking across mexico that are still hundreds of miles away. Good times.

I would be so fukking pissed...

I don't disagree, but adding to the problem isn't a good idea.

A few thousand people will have no significant impact on the deficit, much less the debt. And for all you know, very few of them would end up on government assistance long term. They’ll likely contribute more in taxes than they get back in assistance in the long run.

It isn't just a few thousand people. Look, would you rather give retired people a COLA increase that could actually keep up with inflation, or take that money and give it to someone who has never worked here a day in their life? I vote for the citizens. What about you?

It’s estimated to be around 14,000 people. That will have no significant impact.

It’s absurd to assume they’ve never worked a day in their lives. How do you think they survived in their home countries? And it’s also absurd to assume they won’t work once they get here.

There’s plenty of money to take in some refugees and take care of retirees. False dichotomy for 1000 please Alex

Do you think those will be the only illegals who have ever or will ever try to come into this country?

Again, help out illegals or help out citizens? You have to make a choice sooner or later and we don't have an infinite amount of resources.

It isn’t illegal to request asylum at the border. And they haven’t even gotten to the border so calling them illegals is just ridiculous.

We don’t have to make that choice because we have enough to take care of those 14K people and our own citizens. Hard to do that when republicans keep going after the social safety net though...

We simply cannot let those caravan immigrants into our country while we are in the process of making America white again . . . if only, they were from Norway, you know, white, blonde & beautiful . .

What's up with all of this racism you keep spewing?

Yeah, PRLyles . . . who do you think you are, the POTUS . . ?

Racism like assuming that Central and South Americans won’t work and will just be seeking government handouts? Not saying you made that assumptions but plenty of other people have...

I'm trying to grasp how people who are here illegally are getting a full government assistance ride. I've known people who are American citizens from families going back to the 18th century who have had to run a gauntlet to get minimal food stamps when times got really tough... my own mother, when my father was dying from Agent Orange.

It was a joke. I made a similar joke the other day saying the same thing about Mexicans and yardwork. Some people took offense when I said it. I guess there's a double standard.

Well sh!t, you're not the best jokester then . . it seemed to me that you were implying that only Mexican folks enjoyed gardening, and btw, for someone that didn't vote for 45, you sure like defending him a lot.

Gotcha. I thought you were asking him what racism is he talking about

I said almost the exact same thing he said. The only difference is I'm married to and had children with a Mexican.

I've criticized him plenty of times as well. You seem to forget that.
