I doubt Biden would have lost to (as Joe would say) "that Mormon", Dole, or even McCain. Bad nominees are bad nominees. But there are many factors as to why Trump lost to Biden (some still emerging such as the FBI hand in suppressing bad news against Joe). However, the single most important factor was and always will be the pandemic. Had covid not hit when it did and how it did, it's still The Orange House.

Marijuana can be detected in the blood stream for as long as a month. It being “in your system” doesn’t prove you’re actually driving high.

Why would you want the punishment for cannabis DUI to be harsher than driving under the influence of alcohol? The data is crystal clear that driving under the influence of alcohol is far more dangerous. That certainly doesn’t mean people should drive stoned, but if you replaced every drunk driver on the road with a stoned one, the roadways would be much safer for it.

You are correct about the detection of marijuana. Hair follicle testing is even longer as it's only limited by the length of the hair. None of which has to do with whether or not one is "under the influence" at the time of driving. When a person invents an accurate roadside test for that purpose, they're gonna be ultra maga rich.

Regarding the conclusion of being "safer" under one substance or another, it's all a matter of degrees. Bottom line is that no one should be driving under the influence of anything, including things like not getting enough sleep.

You really believe that the NYPost article being echo'd on MSM would have changed votes? No anti-trumper cares that Hunter was a drug-addict that likes selfies.

MSM has verified that authenticity of much on the hard-drive and anti-trumpers STILL don't care. To believe that story would impact the election is stoopidity.

no but they care that somebody maybe lied about Joe setting Hunter up with a deal that gave unsavory elements access to Joe. You want to see stoopidity? Deny that possibility.

Well, nothing like missing the entire forest for a single tree.

But, to answer your question, it could have made a difference, but we will never know since it was completely banned from social media and the only coverage whatsoever that it received on the msm was the falsely created narrative that it was more of russia, russia, russia.

Stoopidity is thinking that the possibility of a presidential candidate being on the take or looking the other way for his son couldn't have an impact on an election. This is particularly true when it comes down to some really small margins in very limited areas that swung the electoral college to Biden's victory. Let's put it this way, if this had been Don, Jr.'s laptop containing the same type of information about orangeman, the election would not have even been close.

So, yes, I believe that it could have changed votes, but as I made clear, the reason was covid.

Aside from pics, nobody outside of MAGA trusts the other hints from that hard-drive. And generally nobody cares about Hunter's business deals while joe is ex-veep.

If Joe was just an ex-Veep, then you'd have a point. But he stumbled his way into being President, making Hunter's dealings even more suspect and worthy of scrutiny.

Come on now. Don't stoop down to their level. I disagree with our president and their policies as much as anybody, but I don't joke about that stuff. About the only thing I will actually grant Joe is that I have no doubt he loves his family. Do better, I mean, it's easy enough with what is going on to slash them directly.

Maybe no yellow dog trusts or cares, but you are really underselling everyone else. Most people do care and had they been informed accurately about things rather than a six year campaign of lies and slanted truths, maybe perceptions would be a little different.

I'm not joking. I'm as serious as a heart attack. Hunter Biden is a piece of shit and our world is a better place if he's not here. On the other hand, Beau was a good, respected man. If one had to die, it clearly was the wrong one.

Hunter and Joe are a danger to me, my family, my way of life and other Americans. I see it differently. You don't have to wish death upon them. But leave me to my hopes and dreams.

We can agree to disagree. I just don't wish ill will on the family of our president regardless of how far down the gutter one goes. But, there are so many assumptions and conclusions there. If Hunter isn't here, does Joe reaaaally go down the rabbit hole. If Hunter died and Beau was here, does Joe come immediately after Barry and we never get the Donald?

I just think that seeing these things on a personal level is part of the problem and how much of the attack has gone on for six years. Orangeman bad is the mantra. It's never his polices are bad and here's why. It's always personal and it's part of the problem he got hammered by suburb swing voters. But, you did make me chuckle on the hopes and dreams.

going back and forth with the blaze is a trip. He is relentless in the couching of his words to advance his agenda. He could be a star reporter or anchor for one of the leftist 'news' outlets.

I had a girlfriend that he reminds me of a little. She was fond of patting herself on the back for never telling a lie, whenever she thought I wasn't being completely forthright with her. I noticed she didn't say that she always told the truth though. Because that would have been a lie.

Agreed. I was simply making the point in response to the idea that DUI penalties would be so extreme for marijuana in comparison to alcohol.

There is also a lot data suggesting that people who have access to legal cannabis are more likely to substitute marijuana for alcohol. The substitution effect is actually quite strong. And cannabis users are more likely to just end up passed out on the couch instead of joy riding.

What I’m worried about with legalization is bad policy regarding production licenses. It’s potentially a great opportunity for small business to pop up all over the country

To this day we have yet to be informed more accurately. All we know is he had a drug problem and a selfie problem and that he was an international businessman (similar to the Trumps). Trump fam also does bus in Ukraine, China and Russia.

To date, the Trump list of convicted cronies and grifters outnumbers Joes. Never-Trumpers and Dems would need way more ammo than the NYPost article for the election to have a different outcome.

People can gripe about suspicious stuff from the hard-drive, but to think it would make any dent in the election is foolery.

Nothing on that laptop would be enough to sway anyone voting for Biden back to Trump. I think Trump supporters seriously misunderstand how much he is hated and how corrupt he is.

I see. It's all a score card of how many trumpies can be run through the gamut of the biased federal law apparatus versus how many bidenites are caught and prosecuted, even if it's for stuff not related to actual actions in their appointed roles.
 
I think many poasters are seriously underestimating how many people recognize Joe’s incompetence. If those people had known the truth from day 1, there is a good chance they go with the guy they hate over a bumbling moron who would struggle being President of the old folks home pinochle club.

And it's not just those worries. We are a different breed here. What I mean is, most of us actually try to stay informed as to events and happenings. And despite our various leanings and bias, we are more informed than a huge majority of people out there that just don't care or don't care to invest the time and energy to stay informed. They literally get their little bit of information based on what pops up on their social media feeds. When tictac, twitter, or fakebook decides something is misinfo and bans even discussion or mention of it, a huge chunk of people fail to get any info about it. Take the issue of wet market vs. lab for covid origin. For a long, long time, you'd get banned trying to mention even the possibility of lab origination. It's crazy to not see these limitations as an issue.
