Tell ya about clint. He Is uber careful with his info and whos leaning where. If he says someones in the lead or looking good etc its because he knows it for a fact. Hes prob been wrong but in The 12 yrs i've been following him i cant remember him missing badly. in fact hes so careful that he usually hedges his bet when he doesnt need to. If someones leaning a little according to clint chances are he knows the kid is leaning a lot. And when he says its a done deal....bank it.

No I did not mikey, I have never questioned if Clint nor Rob have great sources nor have I EVER been disrespectful to either of them in any way. But when I am told that Clint does not agree with an opinion I hold, then asking why is not disrespectful.
I was replying to a post by dadika that basically said I was wrong and that Ky led for Pj and that was said by our own experts. Now I have not read EXACTLY what was said by our "experts" yet I am supposed to change my opinion without even being able to see even as much as what those experts are saying?
One thing more, do you now say for the record that we no longer have a chance with PJ? Can you tell me right now that with ZERO doubt that UNC is out of it for PJ, is that what Clint is saying? I have not one time said I had better sources than Clint, I have simply said on this one particular recruit I do not agree if Clint is saying Ky leads strong for him or that we are out of it. I clearly recall the last time I strongly disagreed with Clint, it was over Kenny Williams and I was saying strongly I believed the kid was ours and Clint was saying strongly that it was Uva. Was I being disrespectful while I was being right then, how is this any different? Until I see something solid to consider that allows me to change my opinion then excuse me while I not only hold my opinion but challenge anyone that has a different opinion. Back on topic here. PJ's father said PJ is wants to attend big blue madness (kentuckys thing) back in July. I agree with Gary, I don't think it means too much if it's been planned since July. Is it even confirmed since those July comments he is still attending? I wonder if another date for LNWR should have been arranged however. Same day kind of stinks. Need to get Jcole involved with LNWR. Kids would flock.

Was thinking JCole myself. And yeah, I believe that PJ's plan for bbm goes back even further than July --- that's when it was mentioned in an interview, but I believe it goes back several months. Like it or not bbm has a big cool factor for basketball kids, however, many attendees they're recruiting don't end up committing to uk either. I wish PJ was coming to Late Night, but it's no guaranteed commitment either, as we have seen.
And sk, I'm just gonna drop one caveat out there and hope folks will take it as intended:
Shenanigans aside, Calipari runs a very formidable PR-based recruiting operation. They kick everyone's butt in media (traditional and social) penetration (yes, that's an actual thing these days). And personality-wise, Calipari has zero qualms about using bluster and braggadocio as a recruiting tactic. Lately he's been blustering to recruits that he has Mo Bamba and PJ wrapped up.
Why? Because he knows it's true? Um, no.
It's because it creates a bandwagon effect and a buzz among recruits, the parents (and, um, handlers), AND it gets echo-chambered in the MEDIA by certain folks (yes, including certain uk-friendly analysts) and actually ends up affecting perceptions at other schools, and creates a narrative that then gets heard by credible analysts (like ours) thru the grapevine... oh, and does anyone really think it's coincidental that they re-floated an old 'PJ almost certain to KY' meme right on the completion of an EXCELLENT visit to Carolina? Oh come now.
As I understand it, the Washingtons aren't talking much during this visitation process, so I'd be surprised if the "recent" uk love is coming from them. Hey, maybe I'm wrong about that last part, but....

I have no inside sources but, if it were me being recruited, and a coach that was recruiting me was telling other potential recruits that I was "wrapped up", I would be seriously pissed at that coach. But I'm not a 17 yr. old bball star.

The chatter up here (basically just coaches I talk to who know his family) say that Duke's the heavy lean. Some of the more negative people in his ear want UK but Mo is very academically driven (thus Harvard being a real player). They say Duke gives him the best of both worlds.
Oh yeah, I keep forgetting where you're from! And yeah, from what little I've gleaned that sounds pretty much spot on. Interestingly, the one thing I heard thru the grapevine down here in ATL that had some pop to it was the Harvard thing.. and some folks don't want to believe me, but I have it on pretty good authority that Harvard is at least still in play for Carter too. I have heard (as you said) that the dookies are playing the "best of both worlds" angle with both these guys.
(sidebar --- this is one area where the ncaa junk is still biting us --- as much as dad liked Roy, we never could recover in perception in the Carters' eyes, and who knows?... maybe in Bamba's either to have had a serious shot at him).

On Michigan, every time I've asked someone on them I've gotten a "nah". As you said, he reached out so there obviously has to be some interest but nothing I'm hearing suggests he's leaning there.
I'll catch a few Westtown games this season. Mo, Randolph, and Reddish all on that squad...absolutely loaded.
