School bathroom decree ...

Strum has better things to do than look at naked women, so this all seems far fetched to him.
Well, you reveal the deviant behavior right there. If you can't control yourself, we have consequences in place for that... already.

If McCrory and the rest of these uptight people would have found a better way to dictate minimum wage laws, this never would have come up. That just opened the door for the Feds to stick their big nose in it.

Fortunately, the future generations will not be as sexually repressed as this one and the ones before it.

If some boy decides it's worthwhile to dress as a girl and try to get laid, or rape a girl, in the school locker room, then they'll go to jail just as fast as before.

If a teenage male is so "sexually frustrated" that he's decided to pose as a female for the rest of his life in his high school, then his frustration is deeper than just "I can't get laid."

What don't you understand about this? The bolded part is simply not true. You can wear boys clothes, hang out with the guys, play sports (I assume you'd still have to play on the male teams, unless they're gonna change that rule up now too - and I could have hit 50 HRs my senior year on the girls softball team). You don't need to "pose" as a female anywhere beyond saying you identify as a female.

Yes- there are consequences if someone rapes my daughter. But she was still raped and will still have to live with that for the rest of her life. And quite frankly, the legal consequences aren't enough for me or any other father or husband I know. But you aren't married and you don't have kids, so perhaps it is understandable you lack perspective that almost everyone else has. Or you just like being obstinate because you are bored.

Completely agree.

He can't accept that part because it blows up his whole argument and Strum will never, ever, ever admit that the possibility he could be wrong exists. (and to this he will reply with some esoteric bullshit about how right and wrong is subjective based on a bunch of bullshit that bores us all to tears and then he will escape without having to admit he was wrong) This thread will play out the same as every other thread graced by his presence.

(And to this, he will poast some other bullshit about the bullshit I just wrote being wrong and that poast will still be just as boring and tangential. On and on it continues)

It's got to be the latter. I'm not married and have no kids - but this is blatantly obvious to me that there are people out there (including a younger me) that would take advantage of this easily-taken-advantage-of decree

How about if the boy doesn't dress like a girl, just says he identifies as a girl, and then doesn't try to get laid or rape anyone - but just goes into the locker room and stares at naked classmates for an hour and leaves. What is that kid going to jail for?

Absolute overreach and meddling where they have no jurisdiction. I hope North Carolina and many other states tell them where to stick their decree. Sure, let's trample the rights of 99.7% of the students to make .3% non stigmatized.
What's more, the SCOTUS ruled that Obama could NOT use threats of withholding of funds from states that had policies contrary to Obama administration edicts - this demand places Obama in violation of high court rulings.

Oh good. Obama would never think about circumventing the law to forward his agenda, so good to know that SCOTUS has us covered here.

I'm afraid of ignorance and arrogance, and you are TERRIFYING!

You can stop as easily as I can. If you don't like my opinion and you hate the boredom I bring, then put me on ignore. I've invited you to do that dozens of times. Put your fingers in your eyes and ears. Be my guest.

Do you think that people are just suddenly going to lose all of their common sense faculties because of this?

I have a 13 year old niece and an 8-year old niece that are just like my own daughters to me. So, do I qualify as having enough perspective to you? No, because I don't fear the same outcome that you fear.

What if some FAT UGLY girl (NOT a hot girl) comes in to the MEN'S room, says she identifies as a male JUST so she can sit there and stare at you while you are changing, showering and pissing????? Just stares for a long time, says nothing to you, just stares and no matter how what you say to her, she just sits and stares because she likes to look at men naked... how would you like that????

Even better:

What if Natalie Portman-hot girls decide to identify as a male and shows-up in the boys locker room and men's room? I'm sure all the guys here will be offended and embarrassed and want her to leave immediately!

OR:

This GUY is forced to pee in the men's room and shower in the men's locker room:

Meanwhile... SHE has a penis!

I don't think they'll lose them. I just think they'll be afraid (there's that word you like) to use them, as I mentioned in this poast:

OMG can you imagine if a teacher tried to stop someone from doing this!?!? They'd be fired (if not shot) on the spot - and banned from all teaching positions in the state for life. Forever branded a bigot. You think anyone would take that risk just to try to stop some 13 y.o. kid from getting his rocks off?

Why would anyone be afraid to use their own common sense? Of course, you need to take into consideration, that each person's "common sense" varies. So, I may have been a bit premature.

You know your own instincts. You can't deny them, no matter how hard you try. So, do what you KNOW feels right and hope for the best.

I personally wouldn't be offended, but if there were guys that were, should we just disregard what offends them? Seems like this whole deal is worried about not offending people, so I'm just trying to figure out who gets their offenses catered to and who doesn't here.

Yes, clearly this is wrong. However, to fix this wrong, why do we need to enact a policy that could be so easily exploited by anyone that wants to?

I mean, personally I probably wouldn't really mind. But that's exactly my point. I don't think she should be able to come in and do that, because I'm sure there are plenty of guys that would feel awkward/offended by that.... Which is what this decree is enabling her to do.

So, do what you KNOW feels right and hope for the best.

Expecting the best from everyone, and failing to see that there are people out there who will take advantage of situations if given the opportunity, sure is a dangerous way to go about life.

Why not just tape $100 bills to yourself, and go walk the streets of Compton for a few days straight. I'm sure everyone will put their best foot forward and not do anything to harm you - since that's what you would do, right? And besides... even if they kill you - they'll go to jail. So who really cares, right?

I agree this decree has created a problem when we did not even have one to begin with but now it will make things like that happen because idiots are everywhere and take advantage of these situations if they think they can. However, 25 years ago when a man followed me into a public restroom thinking he'd get his jollies off, there was NOT a decree, and I threatened to rearrange his jewels and then went and got security. So if it happens WITH this new law, then what I did to that man 25 years ago will happen to the idiots that try it even with this new law.

You already admitted that YOU WOULD exploit it... if you were younger! You may have some unresolved issues and residual inclinations.

The only people that are remotely being offended by this are people that, in their mind, believe that these transgenders are defective, or wrong, or abnormal. They aren't at all. They are simply a DIFFERENT variable that have always existed! And, their "kind" will be accepted and incorporated into the social paradigm, just like race and gender and nationalities have been over the course of history. People used to insist that blacks and whites could not marry, eat together, use the same restrooms, or be integrated at all. Back then, that was considered abnormal. They realized that was not the case after all. Now, we see it as totally normal.

Then live in fear! It's very popular. But, the rest of society will pass you by while you live in fear. You even resist and deny the fear that you live in. You won't even acknowledge THAT! Being afraid is "weak" and a man can't show weakness.

Yes I would have. And please don't quit your day job to become a psychologist. That diagnosis could be given to the vast majority of horny teenage boys (I would have said "all" but apparently you never wanted to see naked girls when you were a teenager, so I had to downgrade to vast majority).

Here you go again confusing the argument. There's no issue with trannies! None at all! No matter how much you try to spin it into a war against trannies it won't be! My issue is that the decree as currently constituted opens the door for people to abuse it that it wasn't intended for (aka horny teenage boys). Again, I have no stake in it - as any teenage boy that wants to see me naked just has to stroll into the men's locker room and he can get a full view. However, all I'm saying is I can understand if a teenage girl isn't as open to letting that teenage boy check her out while she's naked. But that would mean she's afraid of having the boy stare at her when she's naked - so screw her and her fear, right?

Just because the diagnosis is common, doesn't make it healthy! Of course I had the same hormones. But, I was able to control myself and not do things that I knew were not consensual. I don't understand how a person commits rape. I don't understand how a guy has sex with a girl that is drunk, especially if he's sober. To me, that is non-consensual. My conscience wouldn't allow it... even when I was 16!

Well that is very admirable of you. And I commend you for that self-control at the age of 16. However, thinking that everyone is like you is naive at best, and monumentally stupid at worst. Isn't your whole point that we're not all alike and that we should accept that? Why can't you accept that not everyone is the shining angel that you are, and may occasionally have deviant thoughts that they'll act on if given an open door?

Also - are you purposefully avoiding the second part of that poast? This is the part I wanted an answer from you on. If you fail to acknowledge that I'm in no way talking about trannies here - then it'll be clear you're just trolling at this point.

I actually agree with this... entirely. It will increase the likelihood of people taking advantage of it. And, you can thank Pat McCrory's signature on a bill with the rider of restricting minimum wage. No rider, no issue.
