North Carolina struggled against Long Beach State ace Andrew Rohrbach[/B] Friday afternoon in the opening game of the Gainesville Regional in the NCAA Tournament, as the sophomore pitcher threw eight and a third innings of seven-hit ball as the Dirtbags defeated the Diamond Heels, 6-0.
The Diamond Heels, who fall to 34-26 with the loss, got runners into scoring position in each of the last three innings but could only push across one run against Rohrbach and the Dirtbags, who improve to 33-24 with the victory.
UNC now awaits the loser of Friday night's Florida/College of Charleston matchup in an elimination game Saturday afternoon at 1:00 pm.
