Trump & Hillary

I haven't watched much of the DNC, but I've read up on the happenings. What a shit show that has turned out to be. Here are the subplots of the DNC as I've read them:

- the whole DWS thing - fired but then retained, booed
- Bernie fans booing Sarah Silverman
- Rioters breaking through barricade while Dem speakers laughing at the notion of border wall
- Illegals on stage speaking
- Mothers of criminals on stage speaking (weird though, I didn't see any fathers)
- Obama's soft endorsement of Hillary - "Vote for Hillary because she's wanted this for a really long time."
- Bill Clinton offending muslims
- Needing the Pledge of Allegiance on the teleprompter

Did I miss anything?

I might vomit if I have to look at a pic of Hillary wearing something from Athleta.
Thought she only owned pants suits.

That whole transparency-hypocrisy argument died a complete and full death with Obama. Not even worthy of comment.
So we just stop demanding transparency from elected officials? That's unacceptable to me.

And transparency only applies to public service.
He's running for president. Everything he's ever done should be subjected to scrutiny.

1) I hope you are right about pants suits
2) you can demand whatever you want, but I don't understand why you think your demands would be met.
3) scrutinize whatever you want. But why should someone who is winning give you any ammunition with which you could use to shoot him?

This election gives a whole new meaning to partisan justification. We have two of THE WORST candidates in the history of the country, and the partisan rhetoric to defend the "sides" is as fervent as ever. I cannot understand how people can vote for someone, who they have very little support for, because they think they dislike the other one more. But, it has happened so often that, now, it's all we ever get on a national level- Turd or Crap. I am impressed with the ways that so-called liberals and conservatives can still invent newer and better bullshit to shovel as they support their respective ordure and deride the other as being worse.

Weren't they criticized for not even having the American flag represented on stage? All they had were virtual images up on screens:

http://www.politifact.com/truth-o-m...27/donald-trump/dnc-flag-missing-controversy/

This might be knit-picking a bit, but it just seems like such a simple oversight. Goes further to show (me at least) that they are just completely disorganized and no attention to detail. As was mentioned, just a complete shit show. Pull at the heart strings of an idiotic public and hope for the best.

The most funny of all for me is this email release from Wikileaks. The dems are screaming that Trump had the Russians hack the DNC? As if it matters more who did it than what was found on those emails! Nooooo, don't look behind the curtain, look at only what we want you to look at! LOL

As if that was not bad enough, they double down on it screaming that Trump is calling for Russia to hack again and provide him with emails that Hillary deleted well back? Now how do you hack now to get emails that were deleted months ago? THINK FOLKS...

And, they willfully ignore the fact he was being sarcastic, which is the body's natural defense against stupidity... but, especially the stupidity of a compliant, sycophantic, adoring STATE RUN MEDIA...

Can I get your recap of the RNC? For comparison's sake.

- Potential First lady rips off part of speech from M.O.
- Ted Cruz kind-of-sort-of-but-not-really endorses Trump
- Ivanka Trump caught on camera looking like she's gonna whoop someone's ass
- Chris Christie ate up the buffet

- Trump has his best performance to date

How do each one of you think Trump and Clinton would react to an event along the lines of 9/11? 1. I have a vague idea what Clinton would do. 2. I don't have a damn clue what Trump would do, not a clue.

Trump would act all tough and say a bunch of stuff that angry Americans would want to hear. After that, I'm not sure.

I don't think Trump would allow a 9/11 to happen in the first place. I'm scared to think of how likely it is that Hillary would allow it.

Would not allow it to happen? Soooo, Bush allowed it to happen? Help me out here.

How would he stop it and how would she allow it?

From everything I've seen / read / heard on OBL, there were more than enough red flags. With the information we apparently had on him, he should have been dealt with before 9/11 ever materialized. I view Trump as the type to proactively follow through.

HRC -- that woman wants to willingly let them into this country by the masses.

I have a vague idea about what Trump would do. I'm pretty positive Clinton would blame it on a YouTube video and promptly apologize to the offenders. All of this would take place after she denies a plea for help from those asking.

I think Hillary is a little more hawkish than you guys think, at least compared to Obama. I would bet that they would do something similar, but Trump would be a little more bombastic about it.

On some level, of course. But I place a lot more of that blame on Bill Clinton.
Well, we agree on that. They all are complicit on some level. I don't know that I put any more blame on the guy that was out of office than the one that was in it. It's about even, to me. But, thanks for clarifying.

As far as Trump "now allowing it" goes; it's anyone's guess. I read where someone said "Trump doesn't know what he doesn't know, and he doesn't care. And that's what makes him a bad candidate." I think he might be well-intentioned, but that's a big "might" and the road to ruin is paved with good intentions. I think he did this for his ego and it just took off, and now his ego is too big to allow him to get off the ride. I don't think he has the first fvcking clue what he's really doing, or going to do. But, he loves to talk about what he thinks he might do.

Hillary is more than ready to take the reins and continue the bombing and destruction of the last 3-4 presidents.

No one would ever admit this, but I think the Monica Lewinski scandal probably played a role too. That was a huge distraction...without it, perhaps he would have been able to focus more on dealing with AQ's growth. No one will ever know for sure, but just my take on it.

I've long thought that Trump is A LOT smarter than the media / public gives him credit for. He comes across to me as a very calculated person, and while I think he can tone himself down sometimes...nothing he does, to me, is accidental. This Russia thing -- it is stopping the press from talking about the DNC. Even with something like that, Trump is dominating the airwaves. That is not a coincidence.

I don't get the sense that, when push comes to shove, he would honestly do something stupid that jeopardizes this country. I honestly see him as the type that is going to get shit done, plain and simple. And we have needed that for a LONG time.

I've seen this before. I understand he is is extremely defensive in this, and I'm sure Bush would be as well if he felt like he was being cornered on national TV. But the magnitude of that Lewinsky scandal and everything that went into that -- you can't tell me that he was not distracted. He can play the politician game and talk (something he is obviously good at), but I don't buy into BS very easily...and that goes for both sides.

No, he is that stupid. Nobody can act that good.

I see the Lewinsky scandal as a distraction from what he was trying to do against terror cells. distraction by his opposition. Personally, I think his foreign policy was bad, just like every other US President since Kennedy (and Jimmy Carter). He even admits to failing to get bin Laden. There's equal blame to go around. Once Americans stop playing partisan politics, things will get better. Never is a long time, so don't hold you breath.
