Yeah, could have been that for sure. Jerking back seeing the elbow coming. Regardless, thought they got the call right. I didn't like how they immediately picked on him on the other end though. That is not what they are supposed to do.

Britt has had a really good second half scoring wise. Made some big shots.
Ugly game, piss-poor refs, Berry a total no-show, and our D was way off. And I tell you, we missed Luke in the rotation.
No shootaround, bad calls in that second half to the point their announcers felt bad for Roy, bad games from Berry, Jackson, and Meeks at times (though he was good at other points) and they still won rather easily. Time to get adjusted and do some work in the tournament.
Not a thing of beauty but Carolina prevails 83-68 as the senior trio of: Britt, Meeks and Hicks carry the team in the second half offensively and a total defensive effort by the entire team puts the screws on the Rainbow Warriors in the last 20 minutes. Most important take from this game is that UNC with Berry having a off game were able to lean on the seniors to lead them to the win. Hicks and Meeks were solid in the paint and way too often critiicised Nate Brick hit some crucial threes in crunch time.
I admit I did not watch... was sound asleep...but it sounds like we won despite a poor performance by Berry especially.
That may be a good thing relatively speaking as we have other guys that can step up when the leader is not playing well. See Nate Britt with the senior leadership

Have not watched it yet, got it on DVR, will watch when I get back in today. Really long travel time and now it seems we didn't even get a shoot around? That Hawaii program better enjoy this cause I doubt Roy gives them another game after that. Sounds really bush league...
Yep, Roy looked aggravated pretty much from the start. Doubt the Rainbow Ladies get another big draw game from UNC anytime soon. Also, where did they get those refs - Rec League??
rec league refs are infinitely better because they are impartial.
The commentators stated UNC was not allowed in before they took the floor last night due to Hawaii hosting a 4 team tourney at that Center. We were allowed a pre-game warmup. Not allowed to practice or have shoot around prior to the evening of the game.
Well,that definitely explains why we struggled from the arc,besides Britt.
Got a chuckle out of the half time announcers in this one. Had what I guess was the lead announcer that looked like he had a partime gig with dog the bounty hunter, had a guy they called coach who didn't look like he wanted to be there, had a guy that seemed to at least try to be some what fair, and the big dude on the end was looking for a football game when they pulled him off the street?

Playing a game at 1am EST can't be easy. Plus the jet lag. Be happy they won because this was a game I was concerned about some because of the time it took place and travel time. People forget that the flight is 13-15 hours plus a 6 hour time zone difference.
Can't seem to find a bracket for Maui. Plenty of good teams involved.
