We. need to learn how to play physically if the refs call it that way. We are soft because we play basketball like it’s supposed to be. But when you allow the physical play we need to learn to step up.

Usually great offense beats great defense 1-on-1. I wouldn't expect Bacot to stop TJD all that much 1-on-1. We should've doubled more aggressively. But Bacot should've been able to score more, yeah.
Love shoots from Ohio and hits nothing
If I had to bet, IU's average two-point shot was about 4 feet from the basket, and ours was about 16 feet. Hard to win just based on that stat alone. Have to be better on both ends.

You don’t go from being in the national championship game to being this bad after returning 4 starters.. no way Manek was the leader of that team last year.. or was he? This team don’t have a leader. Ok. Maybe. Maybe that gets their attention. But does that get them to play defense? To pass the freaking ball? To look for post guys to score in the paint? It looks like Hubert has never coached a game in his life or these guys aren’t listening to them. Or they just were an insane enigma last year and nobody has the talent/ heart combo to compete on a team at this level.
This sht team right now won’t make the tourney unless things change fast. Lots more losses incoming soon.

body language not good. our team defense is awful but it’s very telling to see Nance yelling at Love on one of those last possessions when he barely competed to switch on a ball screen and the guy scored an easy floater. Love didn’t even express any emotion. pretty much continued his “who gives a damn” attitude. dude loves to flex when he hits a 3 after taking 2838383 shots, how about stop the dribble drive which has killed us and flex like that. depending on which side of the coin you are in, Love looks more and more like a 4 year player, alongside RJ.

I don't think the NCAAT last March was a fluke, but this team looks awful. I keep thinking about that '82 Sports Illustrated Cover "tribute." That looks like such a pathetic joke, now.
Indiana was favored by 5 going into the game. They are the #10 team in the country and at home. We lost by 12. It was a bit worse than expected but nothing crazy. The team has been a disappointment compared to #1 expectations but not sure what you were expecting to happen tonight. No team gets beat all night on the road and is fired up at the end of a double digit loss.

Leaky played pretty well on D. I actually didn't notice many issues from Caleb. Davis, Nance, and Bacot got beat a lot though.

Shouldn’t be this bad with 4 returning starters. So what’s the issue?? Was Manek really the answer? Was he the daddy of the team and took them under his wings? Or was last year a lucky run and now we are basing everything off that and in reality this is who we really are?
