I cannot be the only Carolina fan who enjoyed watching Drake Maye using so many receivers last weekend especially the tight ends and running backs. Howell was great at UNC but hardly used his tight ends and running backs instead going to Downs on almost every passing play.

Downs is going to get doubled a ton this season so Morales, Nesbit, Pettaway and Jones need to be big time options on offense. Using these guys more will give defensive coordinators more things to think about. This passing attack will be crucial to the young running backs chewing up yardage since the offense will not be so predictable…

Is Downs even going to play close to fully healthy? If not, then App St surely is going focus on pressure on Maye and one on one coverage of all receivers. We will need the young RBs to make big carries.

Sounds more like Downs is out and Grimes will play. Big time opportunities for Greene, Paysour, Blackwell and maybe even Chapman in addition to Nesbit and the frosh RB’s.
