I didn't do this right, apparently and I don't think I got the answer either. Instructions are for shit.
LOL...not laughing at you, commiserating with you. I've been there enough. I could probably tell you what your second and third words were. I hate these, although I lucked up this time.
Curious how you get 3 letters correct w your first guess but none w your second?
Strategy. I’m not playing on hard mode where you have to keep using the letters you guessed right. So I knock out another five letters trying to get more letters filled in to work with. Then come back to the ones I already have.
Same thing when you’re down to one final letter with multiple guesses left. If you guess a totally different word that covers multiple options for what that missing letter could be then you cover multiple guesses in one. All I care about is completing the puzzle, not minimizing the number of guesses. I use five or six fairly frequently and rarely get it in less than four. Repeating green letters in particular just reduces the amount of new information you can get from each guess.
I do the same. Usually try to reduce letters the first couple of words. Getting rid of vowels is especially helpful.
so did I, but I can't remember what happened next; a two, or then again maybe a five. either is possible lol.
But guessing the word right off the bat is sheer luck, exactly like getting an ace in golf. Some skill involved in getting it close but that little ball finding that little hole from 175 yards away is 98% chance even for a good golfer. Much more impressive skill wise to put together two good strokes for a birdie, or two words where you actually believe you have the winner with the second one.
