ND makes sense for him. Hopefully Walton, is a nice fit.UNC was a little window dressing, his dad is alumni.

Waiting on an answer on Ziaire Williams. I do know we would make room for him and Walton. Imagine if UNC landed both. Anyone else hearing anything about Ziaire? I thought UNC was for sure out of it, but the timing is interesting.
Don't think we are getting him, but we also thought Kessler was headed to the rats nest...Waiting on an answer on Ziaire Williams. I do know we would make room for him and Walton. Saw a dude say USC then switched his prediction to Stanford 2 hrs later on Twitter... think you’re right. It's a very odd recruitment. No one really knows anything
And just like that, the CB is 100% to Stanford. Can't trust anyone but Daniels on that site I swear.
Holy cow! That’s impressive.Found these interesting stats on the Puff.
69% from 3 over a 10-game stretch.
Walton, Davis and the Puff could be potent on offense. Also, Puff and Davis shoot over 80% from the foul line.
Puff a minor contributor next season? Think not. He did this against tough competition.
Agree Arch’. Zaire would be amazing but there is a distinct positive with guys like Walton and Puff... they are good enough to help but not so highly hyped to be OAD.Holy cow! That’s impressive.
As for Ziaire, I think that ship sailed a long time ago. I’ll take Walton. And Walton is more than just a catch and shoot guy, as evidenced by this video. Scroll down for video.

Steat, I always believe in your posts however, I feel that Puff will need 3-years to get up to game speed and be a complete NCAA Div. 1 ACC basketball player.
He does do so much well but, the movement of which he does it with is slow at the moment. IMO.
He is developing yes, but has a long way to go.
I don't personally think Puff plays more than 8-10 minutes per game, but........Steat is right that many times the most important skill to get you on the court early is the ability to shoot the basketball. I see that at the HS level all the time when 145 lb kids come in as Freshman and the one area of their game that shines is the ability to stand outside and bomb away. They are not physically ready to be complete players yet, but with the right team around them, they can be assets.Agree to disagree GLOV.
You don't have to be nimble to sit outside the 3-point line and drill several 3-pointers a game. He is also a good free throw shooter which is a big plus. Seeing our team shoot bricks from the free throw line last season gave me ulcers..
The kid will be surrounded by some good players. He is 6'7' and still growing. He is taller and a better player than his brother Cam at the same age. Cam was 6'9' when he played for UNC.
All I'm expecting from Puff is 13-17 minutes a game, "stretch" the offense, nail 3-4 bombs a game and shoot a good free throw percentage. I think Roy will start Leaky at the 3, but I would love for Puff to force Roy's hand on this.
Note that Puff has a little floater like Justin Jackson in the video. Hillcrest played a tough schedule also...against many Division 1 kids.

Still think Leaky gets 2nd most minutes on the team again next year.

Well he’s figured out how to shoot a higher percentage from 3 than his overall percentage. Lol He’s the man!Found these interesting stats on the Puff.

At least it's not Arizona.
Waltons shooting mechanics really remind me of Klay Thompsons. The way they square up and keep the ball to the side when they shoot. Really sound shooting stroke IMO. I think he can come in right away and bomb away with those mechanics.
He took an official visit to Carolina.Did Walton ever visit UNC?
If not, would he still commit to us??
Gotta listen when THE @Jared_5 talks! Issa wrapDid Walton ever visit UNC?

So, the updated roster appears to tentatively be:
PG - Love, Davis, Francis, Smith
SG - Platek, Harris, Walton
SF - Leaky, Puff
PF - Brooks, Sharpe, Miller
C - Bacot, Kessler, Manley
Quick takeaways:
(1) Front court is loaded.
(2) Love and Davis will be asked to do a lot from Day 1.
(3) That's still not a healthy roster.
(4) Immediate competition between Platek, Puff and Walton to make shots.
(5) Leaky's improvement will be vital.
