Refusing? That's an odd way to put it. They makes it sound like they're supposed to get it. I thought people got to make their own choices concerning their health. My body, my choice, right?
I can't speak for everyone who is "refusing" the shot. But me personally, I don't feel it's necessary. That's it. That's why I'm not getting the shot. Maybe others have different reasons. But based on what I've seen, I simply don't find it necessary. And I'm just not going to put something in my body to make others feel better. It's not my job to make you feel better, safer or anything else.
This is where I'm at, too; and where I feel everyone should be at, but to each his own. I just never have felt that the vaccine should be absolutely mandatory, where Biden and his volunteer goons are going to knock on your door, pushing the vaccine on you, regardless of your age, whether you've had & recovered from COVID, and whether you have other factors that make you COVID-high-risk (other health conditions, age, etc). I defy anyone to tell me how this "everyone STFU and take the jab because we said so!" has anything to do with science or health. It doesn't. It has everything to do with testing how much they can control uppity people who think they still have some personal freedoms.
It should be each person weighing his personal situation...assess: do I believe, based on what I know from the data, from real science, from reliable sources, that I am more at risk of catching and dying from COVID? Or from some potential, rare, bad consequences of the experimental, unapproved medicine (not an FDA approved vaccine)? And if I've had and recovered from COVID, building up antibodies superior to the "vaccine" why on earth would I take the jab?
If people followed this logical comparative assessment, I think nobody under 25 would get the vaccine, and almost nobody under 40, unless they are high risk for some other reason. The way Biden and friends are pushing for this, with new rules and findings arising weekly, is crazy. Not at all how things have ever worked for past common truly helpful, rightly required vaccines.
And for grade school, high school, or college to be required to be vaccinated to attend school is evil, criminal, the opposite of science. Thankfully that BS seems to be cratering and imploding. F around with people's kids health and find out.
Parents will pull their kids, and forego the tuition, etc...and no way will these colleges risk damaging the money inflow, due the exodus driven by vax requirement. Colleges are struggling with decreasing enrollment / tuition fees meeting the ever-growing college funding needs. No way are the colleges going to jeopardize their money stream.
