North Carolina - 5 weeks into the mask mandate, still no tangible drop in numbers. what's the next mandatory (liberal) strategy that wont work?

The good news is that if Trump is on board with it, millions will now be on board with it too.
The bad news is that millions will also start believing it's a hoax because it's the opposite of what Trump thinks.
This is one of the reasons that capitalism is amazing. These really smart people are taking a risk because the have enough money to be wrong if the vaccine isn't approved. Sure, they'll make a ton of money if they are right...but most importantly, the general public greatly benefits by their risk because it means 1 billion doses will be available the minute that the vaccine is approved.

This reporter did what I have wished they would do all along. If he doesn’t answer a question or tells a lie ask a follow up question and make him respond.
That's kind of what Covid-19, the virus, is doing. He can't bluster and deflect to distract people. Even saying "Only Rosie O'Donnell" isn't going to stop SARS-Cov-2 from getting its way.

Touches on the many factors we didn't get right, but that paragraph above kinda jumped out at me in regards to the future. What happens next time? Can we fix some of these things or do I start hunting for cheap land in new Zealand or Viet nam?

The number of people thinks covid deaths are conflated is increasing. It's akin to more and more people thinking Armstrong on the moon was faked.
Total excess deaths is the number of deaths over a period of time that exceeds the normal, historical avg. Total excess deaths doesn't look at cause of death, just counts bodies. This spring and summer the total excess deaths is well over 150k, proving we're not over-counting.
There are more deaths now than on avg, if it isn't from the pandemic then what is it?

Fact is, people are avoiding the emergency room and doctors because of the hysteria. Ergo, more are dying from treatable illnesses.
