Duke leads off game with a hit. Ground ball back to pitcher and 2 strikeouts end top of first. Heels go 123 in bottom. Lead off walk for Duke and a bloop single. 2 men on no outs.

Heels get out of it with a strikeout. Then a bases loaded inning ending 643 double play.

Heels leave a runner on on base after a 1 out walk. Heels yet to scratch a hit but hit several balls on the nose. 0 to 0 after 2 complete.

Warmoth gets Heells first hit and bunted over to 2nd by Dunbar. Stranded there after 2 fly outs.

Dook goes 123 and make a pitching change to start bottom of 4. Lassiter welcomes him with a lead off double.

Ramirez follows Lassiter with a triple to right. Sac fly scores him. Heels put together 2 more singles and and score1 more. Heels up 3-0. Dook goes 123 in top of 5 and Bukauskas gets another k to total 6.

Butler does not record an out. 2 singles and a walk. Kelley on the mound no outs bases loaded for dook.

Kelley strikes out 1st batter. Next batter hits a line drive right back to Kelley. Not sure he saw it but caught it for out #2. Zach Gahalan makes great diving play at first to end the threat! Heels up 3-0 after 6 and a half

Just tuned in in time to see that action. Wow, dodged a huge bullet there. Kelley was clutch.

A little catch-up here.

dook had two on, two out when Lassiter couldn't get to a long fly ball in left center field. Two runs scored to make it 5-2 before the Heels got out of the inning.

Since then UNC loaded the bases before the batter was hit by a pitch, bringing in a run to make it 6-2. Bases still loaded with 1 out B8.

Gahagan hits into the 6-4-3 double play and the Heels miss a chance to add insurance runs.

3 outs away from taking the series. Heels up 6-2 T9. Trent Thornton on the mound to close.

dookies get a man on, but Thornton takes care of business including a strikeout of the final batter.

UNC wins 6-2 and takes the series. The Heels will go for the sweep at 2 pm tomorrow.

Bukauskas gets the win to go to 2-1 on the season. dook drops to 10-3 (0-2 ACC), UNC improves to 10-3 (2-0 ACC).

CHAPEL HILL --- J.B. Bukauskas threw six shutout innings as No. 11 North Carolina topped visiting Duke 6-2 Saturday afternoon at Boshamer Stadium. Bukauskas struck out eight and allowed just four hits for the Tar Heels, who will go for the series sweep Sunday afternoon at 2.
