Damn you guys. After the loss I told myself "no checking the boards for a week" that lasted until 11am yesterday. Then I said ok - I can read them and like poasts - but no poasting of my own for a week (somewhat of a moment of silence for the team, and somewhat because I've wasted the last few months of my life following the team, etc. and wanted to grab my life by the balls while I still could). But the whole avatar switcharoo and combo usernames made me lose it. Too much gold to not get involved in.
That guy's going to have a stroke.
Serious question though. Do we let this thread die since basketball season is over? We could just convert the cult thread into our new regular posting spot. Or should we continue on with this piece Hall of Fame thread?
I'm all for retiring threads to the "rafters" when they've been absolute HoF classics - and then moving on to see if another thread can become just as worthy.
The Iowa site on Rivals actually has an entire board devoted to nothing but legendary threads. Would love to see that here, or at least have this one pinned for posterity.
