Well that sucks. Not a great last possession and now all people are going to do is put an asterisk on the first two wins. On the bright side, all three of Roy's national championship teams didn't win the ACCT. We're right on schedule.
Good game, wish Reddish hadn't played like he was shaving points but I feel like UNC is going far in the tournament.

And only lost by one. I'm feeling ok about the game after some sleep. We played our C game and had a shot to win at the end.
Yeah I hate losing to them bastages but we get to refocus for our last six games.
Yeah. Now the question is if the committee bypasses Gonzaga and gives us the last one seed or gives it to them to avoid three ACC teams getting a one seed.

the dookies are the darlings of the basketball world. That is why that loss last night hurts more than anything.
I'm pulling for Tennessee and Florida State. If UNC had won, it wouldn't matter. ESPN got what it wanted. I have NEVER seen such a dookie-love season like I have this season. Frankly, I'll be glad when this season is over.
i get that hype, but duke is locked in as is virginia...however, if all those others shake out, it’s gonna be interesting.

IF we'd gotten more than 2 points from Garrison Brooks.
IF Zion hadn't gotten an extra point for Brooks' complete bullshit fifth foul with good position and his arms straight up.
IF Roy had called a timeout to set a play on even one of the two possessions we had with a chance to win it.
IF Coby had taken that last one to the rack instead of pulling up for a contested, off-balance three.
We should've won that game and it would've been SO sweet.

#1 seeds should be UVA, UNC, duke, UK/TN. #1 seeds will be UVA, UK/TN, Gonzaga, duke.
Gonzaga does not deserve a 1 seed at all. Losing to St. Mary's??? They barely deserve a 2 seed, in my opinion. That team is so overrated. They play no one for 2 months. The entire conference is cupcakes. If they were in the Pac10, maybe. When your conference has 2 or 3 "Saints" in it, you're in a very weak conference.
I don't disagree, but they will get credit for a strong out of conference schedule and beating duke.
No one, after having watched 120 minutes of duke/UNC, thinks duke is better than Carolina. No one in their right mind, at least.
We were the better team again last night. The ball bounced their way, we couldn’t hit shit from outside and they needed a Herculean effort from a generational talent to eek out a 1 point win.
I pray we get to play duke again in the Final Four.

They just showed Luke at the baseball game. He didn't look too worried about the loss.
Oh, I'm sure. That's their whole claim to any recognition at all. Losing to a total no-name team like St. Mary's in your tournament championship costs you a 1 seed, period. I'm not on the seeding committee, though.

The committee doesn’t care or look at all at how many are from what conference except for where they can / can’t seed them.
If MSU and Uk both fail to cut their tourney nets, I will bet anyone we are a 4th 1 seed.
And though Zags don’t deserve a 1 seed imo - they’re a lock. I suppose it’s the committees genius way to try to show equity and fairness to the non-power conferences.
No way in hell would Zags be a 1 seed if they played in any power conference IMO. Maybe pac 10 like someone said but there are probably 4-6 teams in the horrible pac 10 that are better than st Mary’s.

I think they absolutely care. The only reason Gonzaga will get a one is because they want to avoid the blow back of the ACC getting three ones.
Ok -I’m not trying to argue because it’s no big deal, just fun to debate. It has happened in the past that one conference has had 3 one seeds. Big ten and I think big east.
If they cared that much, then why even give two 1-seeds to the same conference. I really think the committee is or should be blind to conference and just see which 4 teams- blind to conference or team name - have the best resume right now.
I still think zags get a 1 seed but Uk and MSU still have work to do imo.
Not that a 1 vs 2 matters that much but I do personally like another 1 seed as a feather in heels and Roys cap.
Have all 3 of Roy’s titles come from the 1 slot? I assume ‘05 and ‘09, don’t recall for ‘17
I don't disagree with anything you're saying, but just like anything else politics come into play with these things. I just don't think the committee is willing to put up with the bitching. They've done it before, but the fact it's only happened a couple of times should tell you that they don't like to do it. And yes, 2017 was a one seed.

I don't think so. I always thought Duke had to win the ACC tournament to get a 1 seed after their 3-3 performance without Zion. I do think that the committee will take that into account but IMO we aren't a lock unless Duke wins tonight.
