I think 10-2 is definitely doable, with the second loss to Clemson. Would need some help from Louisville to make it to the ACC championship. I think if someone asked us before the season started if you would be happy with 10-2 with wins against moo and duke, everyone would say they would be more than happy with that.
Those are some awfully big ifs to get to that. I suppose it's not impossible but hoping for it is more than likely setting yourself up for a fall.
When dealing with UNC football and basketball, its like what I tell my beginning teachers that I mentor in terms of students; keep your expectations low and you wont be disappointed.

I'm going with 8-4, and won't be surprised by 7-5. They'll beat Campbell and maybe State.

That's more like expecting it. Hoping is thinking it won't happen, but would like for it to happen. I'm hoping it will happen, but I'm obviously not expecting it. I'm not going to be disappointed because I wasn't expecting it. I think I might have been the only person on this site who said losing to UVA could happen.
I could see 8-4 as well if this team doesn't move on from UVA. They can perform at an 11-1 level. We saw that in five games. The GT game is going to tell us where this team goes from here. If they come out and beat them by 2+ scores, then 10 is within reach. If they struggle, then eight wins is more likely.
Losing like they did last Saturday will probably have a huge impact on the rest of the season. As in, it will be infectious. Losing to Clemson in DV is one thing. Losing at home, ranked in the top 10 in the country, and being favored by 24 points, to a 1-5 UVA... that's demoralizing. The coaches, players, and poor fan presence all show just how "meh" the program really is, and always has been. Mack Brown ruined his coaching legacy by coming back. Squandered the best QB in Sam Howell. And, frankly, I'm on the fence regarding Drake Maye, at the moment. Drake from a year ago is MIA.
I see nothing that makes me optimistic about the rest of the season. And, at 7-5, Mack Brown will be praising the team for getting some crappy bowl bid.
Oh... And, they are NOT going to beat GT in Atlanta by 2 scores. I won't be shocked if they lose by 2 scores.
gt has the worst run defense in the league…we’ll see if in fact the players are prepared and mentally ready to go and the oc truly believes his own sentiments.
My guess is we'll come out and run it, average 2.1 YPC and then continue to run it.

Vegas doesn't just look at the Virginia game to make it's odds. They look at the whole picture for this year and then they'll adjust some based on where the money is being played.
I wouldn't take UNC giving up more than 2-3 points in ANY game! UNC's record at Bobby Dodd is horrible. They're also pretty crappy against GT, in general.
The UVA game may have been a fluke. UVA has played spoiler to UNC several times. I'm wondering if there's payback on the minds of the UNC players from last season's loss that started the losing streak. I just have no faith in the UNC program to do anything any different.
Clemson is 4 and 4. First time since 2011. I couldn't be happier. The dookies got blanked by Louisville.

Yea like you I had to spend time in the upstate so I share your disdain. It’s hard to portray to people just how obnoxious and arrogant Clemson fans are without being around them in person. They’re worse than most any fan base I’ve ever been around

I’m pretty sure we only beat them once in their triple option era. When we had Hakeem nicks iirc. God I hated that shit.
I know wanting a return to the 90’s teams defense is too much to ask but ffs can we at least not totally suck asss for one flipping season? Can we just be a little less than avg even? I would accept even just being bad. But no….multiple coordinators, schemes, styles….it doesn’t matter. I guarantee you going back to fedora’s start we have to be worst defense in the acc.
Actually we’re surprisingly ranked 64th in def. (Dropping rapidly though tonight) which is better than 114th last season

we've got an HC and a DC who both got recognition for what Vince Young provided them at Texas. That DC then got recognition for what Cam Newton provided him as HC at Auburn. Vince Young and Cam Newton were both offensive juggernauts with a great offense around them.
Now they are back together again, trying to ride on the back of a great player, who doesn't have the supporting cast that those other teams had. Maybe they should concentrate on that supporting cast instead of relying on Drake Maye. Just a thought.
Either way, I want a reset of coaching staff and I don't care if we never win another game. This crap is just too disgusting to watch.
