Nah... they've got more regular season losses coming. That's just as much the Carolina Way as any.Idk. First they have to get your hopes up again by getting into the ACCCG. Then they get crushed by FSU to pull the rug out. Thats the Carolina Way

Welp, we now have that curse off our backs. #17New curse: Letting top-10 accolades go to our heads. That plus playing down to competition are probably our biggest foes.
I think 10-2 is definitely doable, with the second loss to Clemson. Would need some help from Louisville to make it to the ACC championship. I think if someone asked us before the season started if you would be happy with 10-2 with wins against moo and duke, everyone would say they would be more than happy with that.My best guess is we believed the press clippings and felt we had the swagger and talent to just show up and roll the ball out there and have at it. But we’re nowhere close to having that talent. Maybe it will be a wake up call that carries a few games. 10-2 and top 15 is still a damn good season for unc football. So long as that 2 doesn’t include dook or state.
Those are some awfully big ifs to get to that. I suppose it's not impossible but hoping for it is more than likely setting yourself up for a fall.10-2 with wins against moo and duke

doable, as in beating Virginia was doable?I think 10-2 is definitely doable
10-2???
I'm going with 8-4, and won't be surprised by 7-5. They'll beat Campbell and maybe State.
don't sleep on the Camels, and NEVER take a football game with State for granted.Experienced UNC football fan, I see.
That's more like expecting it. Hoping is thinking it won't happen, but would like for it to happen. I'm hoping it will happen, but I'm obviously not expecting it. I'm not going to be disappointed because I wasn't expecting it. I think I might have been the only person on this site who said losing to UVA could happen. Those are some awfully big ifs to get to that. I suppose it's not impossible but hoping for it is more than likely setting yourself up for a fall.
I could see 8-4 as well if this team doesn't move on from UVA. They can perform at an 11-1 level. We saw that in five games. The GT game is going to tell us where this team goes from here. If they come out and beat them by 2+ scores, then 10 is within reach. If they struggle, then eight wins is more likely.10-2???

My guess is we'll come out and run it, average 2.1 YPC and then continue to run it.gt has the worst run defense in the league…we’ll see if in fact the players are prepared and mentally ready to go and the oc truly believes his own sentiments.
no we’ll turn to play action and give up sacks. Then we’ll try screens and give up a pick 6. Then we’ll continue to run it.My guess is we'll come out and run it, average 2.1 YPC and then continue to run it.
Vegas doesn't just look at the Virginia game to make it's odds. They look at the whole picture for this year and then they'll adjust some based on where the money is being played.Somehow... UNC is an 11.5 favorite, in Atlanta
I wouldn't take UNC giving up more than 2-3 points in ANY game! UNC's record at Bobby Dodd is horrible. They're also pretty crappy against GT, in general.Vegas doesn't just look at the Virginia game to make it's odds. basically win out and miami do us a solid and beat them is what we need…ffs, carolina has to win out.Louisville doesn’t have much left on their conference schedule to worry about. They’ve got an easy path to the ACCCG
Has Clemson ever lost to dook, $tate and unc same season?Clemson is 4 and 4. First time since 2011. I couldn't be happier. The dookies got blanked by Louisville.
maybe the tommy west clemson teams…they were pretty bad and lost some weird ones.Has Clemson ever lost to dook, $tate and unc same season?
Yea like you I had to spend time in the upstate so I share your disdain. It’s hard to portray to people just how obnoxious and arrogant Clemson fans are without being around them in person. They’re worse than most any fan base I’ve ever been aroundClemson is 4 and 4. First time since 2011. I couldn't be happier. The dookies got blanked by Louisville.
Well done@heelmanwilm 1998, his last year
Doesn't look like we'll have much either, although we'll still blow it.Louisville doesn’t have much left on their conference schedule to worry about. They’ve got an easy path to the ACCCG
I’m pretty sure we only beat them once in their triple option era. When we had Hakeem nicks iirc. God I hated that shit.i remember back in the whatever, i believe bunting was the coach, carolina was playing well coming in.
they got to gatech and tech wore these gold fukking uniforms beat us on special teams alone…their return guy was the white kid with lineman’s face mask and had weird name like “rhino”…he had like over 100 punt return yards…anyway, i put it behind me.
We've got a national championship coach as our defensive coordinator! Is giving up 365 yds in a half bad? That sounds bad
Imagine the records without having nfl caliber talent at qbWow. Howell/Maye era are going to be unremarkable winning record-wise.
This season isn't over... I wonder if MARK MAYE feels bad about letting his son came here and waste his college career?Imagine the records without having nfl caliber talent at qb
we've got an HC and a DC who both got recognition for what Vince Young provided them at Texas. That DC then got recognition for what Cam Newton provided him as HC at Auburn. Vince Young and Cam Newton were both offensive juggernauts with a great offense around them. We've got a national championship coach as our defensive coordinator!
