I'm pretty sure it's going to be a long, frustrating day. I'm surprised UNC are 1.5 point favorites.

Maybe... The UNC offense hasn't played against a defense as good as ND.
the problem might be a very recognizable one. We score quickly, they get the ball and zip right through our D. We score quickly again, and our porous D gets back on the field again and gets scored on again. We score quickly, and our unrested defense becomes even more porous...and so on and so forth. We can't win an offensive shootout, we have to control the clock to rest the defense and be effective in the red zone when we get there. That's going to take some creativity on Longo's part. Uh oh.

Keeping ND's offense off the field would definitely be good but we have a way better QB and more firepower on offense. If it's shootout I think we have a decent shot. My biggest concern is ND dominating the LOS on both sides of the ball. Then they end up running all over the defense while Maye spends the entire game running for his life.

That's my concern and it's exactly what I expect to have happen.

It's certainly a real possibility. I'm hoping Longo will be smart enough to draw stuff up to continue to get the ball out quick and neutralize their pressure up front. As far as the defense goes, they've gotta be good in the red zone and force some FG's even if/when ND is moving the ball.

The coaching on this team is a joke. 4th and goal and they can't even get personnel on the field.... FFS

On the plus side, at least Mack finally woke up from his two year nap to get upset at the refs. Not sure how much they showed on TV, but he was going at them pretty hard. Even shoved one of the GA out of the way to get back in their face. Maybe that passion will rub off on the team.

There's a small chance the OL can execute a little better and improve. They were kinda thrown together over the summer, the Harvard guy missed practices then missed the GA st gm. Bucknell STILL isn't sure who he wants at guard vs tackle on the right side.

With hurricane weather we might need to lean on the run gm, so we'll see how they do against a decent VT d.

It would be SO awesome if they played Saturday and UNC lost... again... due to the weather! I would love that!

UNC is a 9.5 point favorite against VPI

I haven't watched VPI this year, but... I have watched UNC. I'd say taking the Hokies and 9.5 is a very safe bet!

Tar Heels are 3.5 point underdogs as of now against the Canes.

ESPN's FPI is only giving us a 32.8% chance of winning which is significantly lower than we got against Notre Dame.

IMO Miami hasn't looked very impressive so far. But then again neither have the Heels

I'm expecting another L this Saturday. I just don't think UNC is really that good and the Hokies are horrible. The Hokies are probably the worst team they've played so far.

I think UM could be worse than the ND because it's a road game.

I think VT is probably better than Ga State and FAMU. App State would probably play them close or even beat them.

Miami's QB is frankly not very good. We have one of the very best in the country. Drake has got 19 TD's and 1 pick that shouldn't have counted. Miami's QB has thrown 4 TD's and 3 picks. I think it likely turns into a shootout, and if that is the case then we have the bigger guns.

Like always, my fear is the offense stalls out and the defense reverts back to what we've seen most of the year. But if the offense shows up and plays to their potential then the defense can give a C- performance and we'll still win. Just can't have another F- performance from the defense unless the offense scores almost every possession.
