OOTB's Political Thread . ..

Yeah, and no reason to worry about the chickens when the fox is watching the hen house.
GTFO.
The post was about AZ. The Republican Party controls the governor, BOTH chambers of the state legislature, and AG. Sec state is Dem, but there is red all over AZ.

When anything looks "unusual" it is dems cheating, repubs never cheat.

I wish the GOP would cheat. Fight fire with fire. We may not be in such mess had the GOP been willing to cheat.

The observation of paranoia was directed at you. You're the one having the hissy fit. Keep clutching those pearls gunslinger!

Im still holding out hope that the Dems cheating won’t be able to overcome the GOP numbers.

You better hope it’s not as bad as forecasted or your Dems figure a way to cheat well enough to stay in power. If not, I’m going to relentlessly mock your faggity ass for the next 2 years.

Eat shit and die.

Pretty easy? Wanna explain? Chain and custody is lock & key with secure procedures, audited pre and post.

ETA - WTF am i responding to you?
So you believe democrats are keeping everything under lock and key?

Seriously.

Look, one of their oldest tricks is to be the last to report so they can see how many more votes they need to win in a close election. Now, they've one-upped that by extending vote counting for days.

So you make sure a ton of ballots can't be counted in one way or another election night. No reason they can't all be counted. They set it up this way so they can see what margin of defeat they experienced and then count and find ballots until they reverse the election.

They do this all the time.

Dems have been engaging in massive voter and election fraud for 140-150 years. What do you think Jim Crow was about?

Total spending on 2018 midterms: $5.7 billion.
Total spending estimate on 2022 midterms: At least $16.7 billion.

So wait a minute. Didn't Politico and the democrat media tell us the voter machines were perfectly safe and secure, not even connected to the internet, and anyone saying otherwise was just a conspiracy theorist?

I can't disagree with that, but all sides and candidates should be interested in making the "process" as fair and efficient as possible. The problem is that you can't have it both ways. There should be one person, one vote. So, things like asking for an ID to show you are who you claim you are prior to voting, our absolute most important civic duty, should not be that hard. If it's a matter of cost, there are solutions to that. But don't act like candidates and leaders haven't paraded around claiming asking for an ID is the most blatant voter suppressive act one could do. You can't have it both ways. If you are gonna ask "candidates and leaders not to add further fire to that rhetoric", you can't limit the topic. Rhetoric is either okay or it's not. That's why it's called rhetoric.
id check and had to verify that my address is what’s on my id.

i always ask what number i am because i’m always curious…i am fortunate enough to live in an area where my precinct is strictly dedicated to my neighborhood…we have 408 homesites iirc, so i can get a general idea who has voted where i live…that’s good and bad sometimes haha.

The link in your article says:
"The U.S. has many safeguards protecting voting equipment, so any actual hack would probably be localized, quickly detected and unlikely to affect final results."

Systems aren't perfect, hence all the process audits, machine audits and hand-recounts.

It doesn't matter. If they lose, it was rigged. BUT... they're going to insist it's being rigged all day, everywhere. They'll accept a rigged vote if their candidates all win, of course.

It's all circling the drain.

No, he merely provides you what you don’t like to hear. That’s all this is about.

I don’t deal in conspiracies. If the Dems get slaughtered tonight, I will accept that result. If they don’t, you’ll think it’s rigged.

Newsflash: it’s not cheating just because your side lost in 2020. Your inability to accept this and the idea that in a democracy, your side loses sometimes, is the issue.

And again, your hatred of Democrats makes this acceptable to you. Randman just gave you the excuse.

I'm sure there are a lot more sources for excuses than just @randman1

When the democrats take their beating, it will be interesting to see if they cry foul on the elections.

Shit like this pisses off yellow dog democrats (you) and that's all. Votes shouldn't be counted until polls close because there would surely be "leaks" that would impact and influence the elections and voting turnout. They can't keep the "unnamed sources" out of anything - the first leak EVER happened in SCOTUS this year about Dobbs - what makes you think this information would remain confidential? The media manipulates everything else to fit their narrative, you really think they wouldn't report "votes" (correctly or made up) if they were allowed to be counted???
I've always said they should just go ahead and start counting, but you make a good point about results leaking. It's something I've never thought about. I could definitely see that having an impact on voting, especially in today's conspiracy theory filled world. Some people might not vote if they think it's already out of reach.

Shit like this pisses people off, makes them want to against repubs
"Sixteen states and Washington, D.C., do not allow counting to begin until the polls close:

  • Alabama, Alaska, District of Columbia, Idaho, Illinois, Maine, Maryland, Minnesota, Mississippi, New Hampshire, New Mexico, North Dakota, Rhode Island, South Dakota, Vermont, Virginia and Washington.
Twenty-three states allow counting to begin on Election Day, but before the polls close:

  • Arkansas, California, Georgia, Indiana, Iowa, Kentucky, Louisiana, Massachusetts, Michigan, Missouri, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Oklahoma, Oregon, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, West Virginia, Wisconsin and Wyoming.
Ten states allow both processing and counting to begin before Election Day:

  • Arizona, Colorado, Delaware, Florida, Hawaii, Kansas, Montana, Nebraska, Nevada and Utah.
Connecticut leaves the time for counting to the discretion of the local registrar of voters. In the Virgin Islands, counting begins after absentee ballots have been processed but the timeline is not specified, and Puerto Rico does not specify."

In the video of the tweet, the woman- whoever she is- is basically insisting that if there aren't confirmed vote totals by a certain time, then "it's going to look suspicious." It doesn't matter what states can count which votes when. There's always something to cast doubt upon.

The movie is already over, it's just taking a while for all of the credits to roll. Our elections can no longer be trusted. Americans have willingly chosen to end the whole experiment. They're going out fighting with each other.

Even if what some of y’all are saying is true - that Trump created doubt in all future elections for some Americans….so what? Why does it matter that some Americans think elections are rigged? The results will be what the powers-that-be decide. Who cares if some people don’t trust it?

Oh wait, is this where the freaking out and using the word “insurrection” comes in?

Jesus Christ, the freaking paranoia going on right now. This is what happens when you listen to blatantly ignorant, whacked out morons who actually have an agenda- to sow discord. Not the poll workers or the one's counting ballots.
Americans got too bored just being America!

I'm sure there will always be some outlet for you to throw a hissy-fit and blame other people for disrupting things that you claim you don't really care about because your life is gravy.

She isn't wrong. Unless a race is particularly close we should know, through a count, by early tomorrow morning at the latest. The tweet in response to the video has now been proven incorrect.
