Don't know much about him. Never really considered him a Big at his size though. Can't wait for you to start slobbering Emmitt Williams once you actually start paying attention to him.

He's not.
6'6"/6'7" undersized PF, but he is extending his range out to 3.
Strong as an ox, blue collar, George Lynch
I was at Hampton event this past weekend and Emmitt Williams was one of the better performers of the weekend. A little undersized, but played like a man inside. Really like his game....reminds me a little of Montrez Harrell.
Hasn't he grown to 6'8"?
I'd take a "George Lynch" any day of the week! LION HEART!
And in that same span, Hamilton has visited UNC more times in the last 2 months than Zion has since he was offered.
Why hasn't Zion committed yet?
Oh I think we should go after him for sure. I'd love to see him commit today. It's more that I've never considered him a wing, and I'm interested in hearing other's thoughts given that perspective. More generally, I'm hoping to learn new insights about UNC basketball. Understanding Roy's opinions and other's insights is much more valuable to me than trying to preach my own. My background is analytics and data, I've got little knowledge of scouting and recruiting, particularly for a sport like basketball. I was involved in baseball for a long time and could tell someone a lot more about that sport.Jarius Hamilton
6-8 210 and strong
I'll just leave this right here and let you decide if he could help us. To me he looks more like a stretch four than a three, but you decide. Theo will be gone and we need someone like Hamilton who could swing between the 3 and the 4 spots. Plus, I always want to sign the best NC players.

. He would give Roy a lot of versatility along the front line. He is the guy I want most to sign next. A class of Hamilton, Black, White, and possibly another big man would be a top 10 class, possibly top 10 without another big man.
Glad to see you agree because I respect your talent evaluating acumen. This, from a Rivals article on 4/12/17:^^^^^

I did too. He's had an offer for a long time , but I've read he's a bit too enamored over dook and KU as is Wendell Moore even though neither has been offered by them. I don't understand the lack of critical thinking ability of some of these kids.Honestly thought he would commit right after Leaky and White.
Yeah, that was my brief impression. The question would be range, but I'll take another George Lynch any day. Sounds like the Hybrid position more than a Big.He's not.

I just watched some film, and honestly when they were listing him at 6'7, well that was very "generous", unless the guys he was playing against were absolute giants. Maybe he's actually hit 6'7 now, I don't know. He does have long arms and is a physical beast.Yup, he's 6'8'' and LONG and STRONG.

Thanks for sharing all that. I would love to sign Hamilton too, I hope we get him.Well, you saw his build and how strong he takes the ball to the basket. IMO, he would start from day one. As I said, I see him as a combo forward, with the ability to play the three and the four effectively and take his man outside for the jumper. He would give Roy a lot of versatility along the front line. He is the guy I want most to sign next. This, from 247Sports National Scout and Analyst Jerry Meyer, on Hamilton's game and strengths:
"The first thing that stands out about Hamilton is his physical physique at a sturdy 6-8 as a combo forward. His strength attacking the basket and on the boards is more than most small forwards can handle. On the other hand, he has better speed and quickness than most power forwards."
On his recruitment:
"From the get go, North Carolina has been viewed as the overwhelming favorite to land Hamilton, who is from the Cannon School in Concord, North Carolina. His Crystal Ball has held steady with UNC at 100 percent."
And Meyer is one of the most respected scouts around. Even if Hamilton is the only big man we sign in '18, a potential front line of Brooks/Huffman, Maye, and Hamilton gets me excited.
KU is a respectable program that I have no problem with. That juvenile detention center in Derm on the other hand...I did too. He's had an offer for a long time , but I've read he's a bit too enamored over dook and KU as is Wendell Moore even though neither has been offered by them. I don't understand the lack of critical thinking ability of some of these kids.
I believe Moore is a dook fan but I believe they are waiting to see what RJ Barrett does before they offer if they do offer Moore and Baker.Baker may be waiting on a dook offer as well something I heard the other day. I can see Hamilton liking Kansas since him and Dotson are friends and Kansas more than likely selling them come as a package.

1. RW and Hamilton are doing good, real good.
2. Zion needs a little more attention/convincing right now. That comes with being the 2nd best HS prospect.
1. I agree with this. And like the article referenced, that seems to be the case. Just not sure why we're spending so much time on Zion to begin with. This kid is not coming here.
Been a while, but heard something along those lines as well. We'll see soon enough. Seems like Baker is a UNC/Dook fan?
RW will rarely give up a kid he really wants, and neither should he.
Not much is written in stone with these kids anymore.
Some claim Baker is a Dook fan, but he's shown UNC a heck of a lot of love though.Moore was listed as leaning to Dook before they cooled on him.
I think both of these guys could end up at Dook or UNC respectively. IMHO, I'd rather have Baker.
NYC isn't what it use to be in the 60's , 70's and 80's. Texas , California , Florida , Virginia , SC , and hold down the home state.I'm real high on Hurt and Bacot. Would love to have both.
Brown ranked 6th nationally, already has offers from most of the blue bloods but not UNC. Sure would be nice to reopen that NYC pipeline we used to enjoy.
