I'm excited by next year's team and I see no reason to worry about recruiting. I have seen what Roy can do with youngsters, veterans, 5*, and lower level recruits! I know we have a coaching staff that can develop peeps that need it and can nurture the above average talents! I have seen a whole pile of success and I see no reason to believe it won't continue! Faith is so much easier when it is backed by so much experience! Unlike the OAD factories that perennially underachieve, UNC's success does not hinge on the decisions of any one youngster! In the immortal words of the best coach and person to ever walk a college sideline, "We will win with you or without you!"

I said "a" factor, not the only factor. Surely, you don't deny that a class of one 4* and two 3*'s is better than a class of one 4* and one 3*? Depth of a class is undoubtedly a factor in ranking classes.

Yeah ld2's mom was a campus whore I mean that literal I have friends who were ahead of me in school and enrolled at UNC during ld2 yrs; she was a frat guys dream. Also ld2 was soooooo mad that marshal replaced him even though marshal was wearing his but out in practice.In his Twitter he said "hey world I'm a quitter can't believe he started that kid over me"(he didn't pan out at UCLA either only got the aa nod because he was a UNC recruit. My how times have changed) he also made a rap song about it at his b-day party where he was rough fly ignored or booed. I am not sure how many NBA teams have cut him. He is over seas now I believe. Still has and wears his 09 championship ring though. The wears we're different good kid's dad was a pompous jerk I think they both kinda backed him off once they realized he grossly over estimated their talents

Yeah, I was a lonely voice on here clamoring for Butter to start from day-1. I had followed his HS career, being from my original neck o the woods, and I knew what he had. Plus Drew was driving my ex-coach-ass crazy by constantly pounding the ball and gumming up the Secondary Break. Drew was a classic case of his personal stats being misleading. He had good PG skills ---- did fine at UCLA --- but he refused to run our system properly. Honestly I'm surprised Roy didn't strangle him. It's a testimony to Roy's loyalty that he let him start as long as he did. Sumbitch was about to lead us back to the NIT til Butter came to the rescue

The NBA did not release the complete list of eligible players until Tuesday April 26 last year (and the deadline to declare was Sunday April 24), UNC could issue a press release on Monday or Tuesday before the official list is released.

TB averaged 7.1 and 5.1.

I'm of the opinion Bradley would benefit from another year of exposure and development. But him going OAD may not be such a bad thing long term. We may be able to attract top 20 kids consistently again.

Well, we have to provide context here. What if Bradley was thoroughly dominating Meeks in practice so he thought he would supplant him?

It is hard to answer. Meeks played great all year so its hard to see how Bradley could have overtook him though.

Correct. And when he came in the Bradleys knew that and were fine with it. Unfortunately that changed.
