What you listening to today?

So yeah, I love that dude’s voice. Another rapper named Lord Have Mercy had a similar voice. I never listened to any of his solo stuff but he kills it on this Flipmode track.

On another note, Reggie Noble is way underrated in rap pantheon. His verse on this track is awesome. I had his first several albums and some collaborative stuff. Like Meth though, I checked out when he sold out @dadika13

Funny, it's actually the Method Man and Redman first album that got me into Redman. I was too young for Whut and was just getting into hip-hop when Muddy Waters was popular so I had to go back and listen after I heard him on The Blackout. Agree that his best are those two albums, it went downhill pretty fast when he started doing shit with Christina Aguleria.

I hadn't heard the track you just posted in at least 20 years. Redman is one of my favorite feature guys. Like, when he comes on you immediately get that energy and his iconic voice.

Thought this track went way too under the radar.

Sorry. Not even close.
lol, that's what I'm saying. I had a giant crush on her and I guess I still do. Shania Twain is a decent second choice but there's something forced about her sexiness. Donna Summer was just natural.

I don't know if you might have seen her videos and appearances back then, but what I was able to find doesn't do her justice.

We’ll just have to agree to disagree on this one.

A top 5 vocal intro in music history imo.

I can’t argue with any of the ones you listed. Add in Bohemian Rhapsody and Hey Jude.
I get tired of Bohemian Rhapsody. I like the 2nd half much better than the slow first half.

Hey Jude is just one voice. I thought you meant like vocal harmonies.

ETA: The ABBA song does have a cool A Capella intro... the rest of the song blows, however!

not bad at all. Started out feeling so-so but each song grew on me, especially the music. Musically outstanding.

Don't know why but they made me think of these guys somehow. Not the music itself but because they're a little off beat.

Short Skirt/Long Jacket should be on the best song/album/band names thread.

@pooponduke and @tarheel0910

This is "friendly music" to me...

It's kinda corny, but my older cousins used to have 45 RPM "boxes", and I'd go into their rooms when they were at school and play them. This one always stood out. It sounded kinda like a Sesame Street song, and I was all about SS, The Electric Company, and other PBS kids shows at age 5.

That kind of music was pretty much the theme in the late 1960's and around the time of Woodstock. Here are a couple of similar songs.
