Go to the IU rivals site and look at your words in the thread about UNC cheats, what you ask is right there boss.[/QUO
If you are referring to "that matter" I do indeed have an opinion....I won't share it here. I feel very strongly about NCAA violations being treated fairly and equitably...regardless of who is involved.

First off, I appreciate the apology, I wanted that because I have tried to be very fair with you, you do not strike me as a lune and I felt we had been having a solid discussion, one in which I would not call you names or be anything but fair to you. So thank you for that personally, I can't speak for my Tar Heel brothers but the only reason I needed the apology was you quoted my words in that reply. So I am good with you and I enjoy the back & forth, I argue with my buds all the time so take no offense if I play hard ball, it is not intended to be offensive toward you.

You ask about the best part o four game, one thing I would caution you on, while Marcus is one of our duo PGs on the floor together, I actually expect Joel Berry to guard Yogi, Joel is more of the lead PG and Marcus is more a 2 guard. But don't be fooled, both are excellent defenders AND both will get time guarding Yogi.

What we tar Heels have been waiting for all year is for Paige's shot to start falling consistently, kid has been mired in a shooting slump all season, he has shown signs as of late of breaking out of it and it could happen at any time. But the coll thing is that we have had to learn to score with less coming from Marcus. Joel Berry is like the best kept secret in the country, that kid is fantastic and has had a fantastic soph season. he is the guy that typically takes the harder defensive assignment on an opposing guard. Only time he doesn't is when there is a size mismatch up problem but even then is surprisingly effective. Size wise Joel matches up great with Yogi so don't be surprised if you come away from that game with a similar level of respect as I do for Joel Berry.

Our back court has been much more effective defensively and that is a real key for us, from there it is about our front court rotations on the defensive end and limiting offensive rebounds. WE have an amazing one 2 punch coming at opposing teams from both the wing position and the power forward slot. Every one knows about Brice but I am telling ya, if Hicks does not get in to deep foul trouble, he is nearly at the same level as a player as Brice. We get a lot of Brice and Hicks together and if neither has more than 1 foul going in to the half, watch out, that ain't good for our opponents.

The problem we have right now in our front court is Meeks, our starting center, he is playing hurt right now and frankly, he is not helping us a ton. But his PT has been down to around 10mins a game as of late. A line up that has worked real well for us is Theo and Justin, our 2 wings in the game together. Theo tends to be the guy that checks the 4, he has a quickness advantage and he is a LONG 6'7". He took Bentyl of Prov and drove him nuts not to mention he is a really solid passer that can finish over the rim, he is not a jump shooter. That collective cuss word you here all the way in to INdiana from the state of NC is UNC fans expression of Theo taking a jump shot...OH CRAP< DON"T DO IT! LOL

Justin jackson, our other 6'7" wing runs the court like a deer on opening day of shot gun season, he is surprising with his ability to put the ball on the floor and finish above the rim or pull up for a floater and if his 3pt shot is dropping, we call that winning margin stuff.

But here is the thing, you guys want to get out and run, you not looking to slow the pace, we down with that. UNless you guys play a solid zone that is extremely active, you will be in our sweet spot. Now I don't know how deep you guys go with quality players but we go a solid 11 deep and the 12th guy is as well pretty good. When you are talking a up and down running game for a full 40mins, depth is HUGE, we can keep quality talent with fresh legs in the game, we come at you in waves of fresh legs. In a wide open pace game, 11 sets of fresh legs tend to beat 8 sets of fresh legs. Our 2 deep at every single floor [position is very talented and for the most part very experienced, that is hard to handle unless you slow the tempo and pack in a zone with length out front.

Ahh yes, duh, I knew Berry would guard Yogi and wasn't thinking straight. I'm so used to the idea of Paige being the PG that I blacked out your true PG. Well that should help having two quick defenders to keep us from penetrating the lane, ugh. That is where we get easy layups and wide open 3's. It sounds like Jackson is pretty much a clone of Troy without the tendency to get a little wild so that should be fun to watch. I liked Theo in HS as he was down to IU and UNC. I didn't realize his shot wasn't the best but I also haven't followed him all that much. I remember seeing him have really good handles and quickness for his size so I know he can do damage one way or another.

Well I'm going to go take a nap since our game doesn't start until SUNRISE. My gawd. If the Wisky vs Notre Dame game goes into OT's, the bars could be shutting down and kicking us out before our games over. Ridiculous.

I think Theo is actually more like Troy, Troy is a much better shooter/scorer. But I think in the way they play athletically. Theo is more a defender and a really good passer for his length while IMO Troy is much more offensive minded. Justin is a hard kid to compare someone to, he is a vastly improved defender, he stepped out on Dunn in that second half and really gave Dunn fits. His floater, when it is on is as good as you will find in the college game. he struggled with his jump shot till a lil past midway season but that has come around really nicely out to the 3pt arch. Justin is more of a glider where Troy and Theo are more athletic, it is kinda smoothe vs in your face and down your throat, if that makes sense to ya.

Theo had an injury that nagged for a while and finally took him out at the end of regular season last year (his frosh) and was in a cast for most of the off season, so he was not able to get a lot of skill developement working. He has good hand eye coordination, is not bad at the free throw line but he needs an off season to work on his jump shooting. Put another way, Theo is to jump shooting what Meeks is to high flying over the top monster dunks...LOL

Here is to Tar Heels telling IU, hoosier, hooseyadaddy in tar Heel blue! LOL

Yeah, really looking forward to a great game, it deserves a 8pm prime time tip off spot but what can we do. Yeah, I hope it is clean and injury free for both teams, 2 storied histories come in and only 1 can walk out the winner, hope it is us as you hope it is yall!

Harpo, you, like most ABCers ranting about the "scandal" are clueless and/or FoS. First off, it wasn't an NCAA violation. UNC says that the credits given for those classes will stand, SACS says that the credits given will stand. Now, do you honestly think that the NCAA is going to come in and tell a University AND SACS that they are wrong? That they can't determine what is, and isn't, a course worth credit? Yeah, good luck with that.

BTW, in case the NCAA were to try and break all precedent and attempt to determine the validity of a course... UNC has already retained the two most successful law firms, that litigate against the NCAA, and have told them we will see them in court if they try. So go ahead and cry, go find some wolpfies and have a circle jerk crying session with them. Because NOTHING is going to happen to UNC MBB and FB. Not only that, but you would be a friggin IDIOT if you actually want the NCAA to be able to say "that course counts but this one doesn't".

I don't "rant" about "the scandal'....anything I've opined can be found on Peegs....I won't discuss it here.

I can't imagine how much of a piece of garbage I would feel like if I went and trash talked on another teams board and then watched my team get their $#!T pushed in to the tune of 101-86 on national television. What a bunch of bozos.

Way to Go Heels. I don't expect our IU friend who came in peace to come and congratulate us or admit (at least tonight) Paige is much better than Yogi. Yogi did play a good game but not in Paige's or Berry's class.

Just imagine how bad it would have been if Paige and Berry were worthy to be on the same court with Ferrel and Williams.

Reactions: Go Heels #1
Indiana with Yogi and Williams can play with anyone as they showed when they beat Kentucky but the difference UNC is strong in the back court and the front court and that was the biggest difference tonight. Great season for the Hoosiers they just ran into a buzz saw tonight.

Funny - one of the first posts from that Wyomimg sheepbreeder who "came in peace" was to talk junk about how Marcus has totally tanked. Hey d-bag..... here's some revived Marcus - c'mon over and GET SOME!!!

Hey mike i think u should open the door and let him back in if he is man enough to take his medicine. Only scandal he will talk about is how he put his head up his arse. After u banned him he went and started a post on iu board bragging about it. To their credit his own board hammered him on it

Talking trash to IU now would be boring. I would never B*tchslap the b*tch I just finished b*tchslapping!

Is ky still better than va?
Is big ten still better than acc?
Is IU as talented as UNC?

So yea, leave in peace the same way u came IU troll.

Congrats on the win fellas! UNC was hitting on all cylinders and deserved the win for sure. We definitely didn't envision Paige shooting out of his mind (but who would've?), that was a big difference; however, the true crusher to me that wasn't based on good luck was your offensive rebounding. Brice can somehow jump twice before an IU player was able to get down from his first jump. I liked his aggressive play around the basket. UNC certainly now looks to be the team to beat from here on out. Best of luck in the Final Four and eventual title game!

Hey, I really enjoyed our discussions leading up to our game, I was not trying to be arrogant but more trying to share with you what we knew about this UNC team.

Who would have thought paige would shoot as well as he did? I don't think it surprised any of us, kid has been a great shooter his first 3yrs, great shooters sooner or later wil shoot great. A lot was made about our jump shooting, even had our own fans thinking we could not jump shoot. Problem was, we did struggle to get the ball to drop but we actually had really good shooters that were missing shots. Marcus, Berry, Jackson, Britt, even a kid on our bench that has not played a lot in Kenny Williams are all really really good shooters. WE waited all season for our shooters to all heat up together, it was not a shock that it happened, it was a shock it took so long to happen.

And ya know what, I think this team became better because our jump shooting was not consistent thru the regular season because we had no choice but to lock down harder defensively and go to the UNC bread & butter of working the ball inside to our bigs for high percentage shots and not rely on bail out jump shooting. So we were forced to crank up the rest o four game and know that jump shooting would come, we didn't know when but we knew it would show up because sometime sooner and sometimes later as in our case, good jump shooters will drop shots.

Indiana's big mistake, you do not run with UNC, your shot is to slow the tempo and hope we do not get a working margin on ya. If you run with us, if you let tempo amp up with us we will hit you with 8-10pt runs because we keep fresher legs on the floor than pretty much anyone else can.

I know what you're saying but the running thing still didn't get me. Transition buckets weren't the issue. It was UNC getting many second chances on the times that Paige wasn't shooting 3's like a mad man. We periodically had some great stops on your first shot attempts and sometimes the 2nd and 3rd shot attempts before you made it. ha It was our incapability to keep you guys off the boards which is all the credit to Carolina. UNC was 31% from 3 on the season and they were 10-12 at half. That's unreal. Our guys didn't look tired out there, it's the pace we played all season. You guys definitely went really deep with fresh legs which helps but I didn't see the up and down as something that hurt us though. If we'd have tried to slow it down, Brice would've had 30/15.

Basically our best chance was to do what we did, expect Paige to continue his slump and crash the boards hard. Neither happened and in the end we looked downright awful.
