ESPN has us re-seeded as the top seed overall among teams remaining. I ain't buying it. This team continues to have inexcusable lapses like first halves against FGCU and Providence. We're going to dig ourselves a hole we can't get out of. Final Four is a reasonable expectation but beyond that I have my doubts.Okay, prediction time. Whatchy'all thinking? How far do the Heels go?
That's just weird. Reseeding teams that haven't lost. Why would anything change?ESPN has us re-seeded as the top seed overall among teams remaining. I ain't buying it. Right?! We're really slow at work today and half the office is on vacation. It would be an absolutely perfect day to take an extended lunch at a sports pub and watch some basketball. But no....
Yep, this is going to cost us against a better team (possibly as early as our next game). It's been thoroughly discussed on this thread that this team lacks a bit of that killer edge. This team is reactionary instead of proactive; the Heels come out flat in almost every game, and rely on some type of catalyst to finally rouse them from their stupor (be it opponents trash talking, the crowd getting into it, etc.). I don't really know if you can correct that this late in the season, but Roy needs to come prepared with some excellent pre-game speeches for all the games we have left this season. This team continues to have inexcusable lapses like first halves against FGCU and Providence. Why do you need to have basketball as an excuse to take an extended lunch at the pub? Just use the excuse that I use... I woke up today.![]()

Give it to me straight. Does Oregon have any chance against Duke? I know zero about Or-uh-gone except that their home court is all kinds of ugliness.Oregon 1.5 over dOOk

Depends entirely on whether the officials finally eject Vanilla Whip for tripping somebody.Does Oregon have any chance against Duke?
Does the NCAA know that people work for a living....?North Carolina - Indiana tips at 9:57 pm, by the way.

CBS has to get 4 games to a national TV audience in a single night. The ND-Wisconsin game -- also in Philadelphia -- starts at 7:27 pm. If it runs long for any reason, the UNC game could actually tip even later than 9:57.WTF? Why????
Yeah but they're doing it all wrong. They basically set it up so two games run concurrently, then there's a break, then the other two games run concurrently. This is how they should do it:CBS has to get 4 games to a national TV audience in a single night. The ND-Wisconsin game -- also in Philadelphia -- starts at 7:27 pm. At least it's not a school night?
Live sports is basically the only television programming left that is still "appointment programming," meaning people crave watching it live. Nothing else but sports is this way anymore. Thus why ESPN and CBS and others pay such astronomical figures for broadcast rights. Sports is the only thing left on TV where people won't skip your commercials.Or, all you dumbasses could step into the 21st century and get dvr.![]()

And I'm sure some people do what you do, too. But overall, the numbers show people wanna watch sports on TV "live" or not at all.It depends on the time for me. I'll record most day games because I have two young kids, so I'm usually doing something with them which prevents me from watching the game. Once they get a little older and can understand what is going on I'll probably watch live and make them watch with me.![]()

This is precisely why CBS won't hire you. East Coast 9-to-5ers would miss the first half of the first game. Also, you can't just disregard the Pacific Time Zone.- 5:15 tip of the first game. Yeah this is sorta early and people are still getting home from work on the East coast.....BFD. Also, screw the West coast. They don't watch college basketball anyway.
It's college basketball. The rankings are only marginally good as it is. 5:15 is fine. Stretch it to 5:30 if you must. People would miss 4-8 minutes of game time at most. This is precisely why CBS won't hire you. East Coast 9-to-5ers would miss the first half of the first game. The average commute time to work is 25.4 minutes. It's longer in the more heavily populated cities that hold more eyeballs. Even if an Eastern Time Zone viewer walked out of work at exactly 5:00 and went straight home, he would miss much of the first half. A Central Time Zone viewer would miss three-quarters of the game. It's college basketball. The rankings are only marginally good as it is. 5:15 is fine. Stretch it to 5:30 if you must. Prove it.
Breakdown of how UNI managed to blow an insurmountable lead against Texas A&M. I missed this game so this was an informative article for me. Just brutal. If this had happened to Carolina, I might of legitimately needed psychiatric help.
I see no proof. You missed the fact that you said you one instead of won. That was funny given the context.
As the article states, Northern Iowa blew that lead because they *tried* to play basketball. If they had just chucked the ball all the way down the court and out of bounds, and made Texas A&M run their offense the whole length of the court, they'd still have won with ease. Instead, they in-bounded right into double teams and then literally gifted A&M two layups that took less than one second each.no doubt straight jacket city for me...its comically horrible...like multiple helicopter crashes in slow motion.
Given that it was actually 12 in 44, it's a close call. An NCAA Tourney game, on national TV, it's even more intense.Do you think that comeback was better than the 8 points in 17 seconds? I still think the 8 in 17 was better since there was no three point line, but it's pretty close given the situation.
