Since Roy has returned to the Hill… 14 seasons

National Championships: 3 – 2 UNC
Natty appearances: 4 – 2 UNC
Final Fours: 5 – 3 UNC
Elite Eight: 3 – 1 UNC*

*we’ve been as far as the Elite Eight, 8 times to dooks 4 during this time.

Is that not enough good stuff for ya? Then how about this…
ACC Regular Season titles: 8 – 3 UNC

Ok, so they do lead us head-to-head 18-12 and that sucks. But it was only 10-9 in dooks favor after 9 seasons. The last 5 have been 8-3 in dooks favor; which can be heavily attributed to our recruiting struggles during that time frame due to the NCAA mess. dook has had three no. 1 national recruiting classes during the last 5 years (and a no. 2 & no. 9), while UNC’s average is 25th.

Oh yeah, they do lead us in other stat…. first round exits: 4 – 0 dook!
Game, set, and match.

THN11 will bend over backwards making excuses for our mediocre football coach/program rbut won't extend the same logic to the basketball program and our HOF coach. His posts clearly show he's a bigger football fan than basketball fan, quite ironic given his multiple posts berating "basketball only" UNC fans.

His statement "Did looming NCAA investigation/sanctions hurt our recruiting? Yes, absolutely. Did, in a weird but beautiful way, it also help us because we instead got moldable, coachable players that our HOF coach coached up and turn into a winning unit? Yes." is pretzel logic at it's best. As if Roy couldn't have coached up more talented players.

I assume that logic applies to the football program as well. I guess the NCAA investigation/sanctions allowed Fed to sign "moldable, coachable players" as well. I guess he just couldn't "coach them up".

Brooks is maybe a little too aggressive. Needs to work it inside out a little bit more considering where our strengths are.

Well, pretty hectic and somewhat crappy end to the half. The defense at times was pretty lost. Flat out terrible at times. Without the rest for Berry we are probably up closer to 15 or 16 right now. Offense looked great at times. Our young bigs are going to hurt us at times but all show promise.

Roy is playing a lot of young guys. This is great development time. Game is going pretty much as I expected. Now, I'll be concerned if we can't just turn it on with 8 left and go on to win by 12-15 points. But I come to like Roy's style and his willingness to experiment early in the season. It's a great attribute of the program.

I hope your right g.

Joel, Luke and Theo need to show these young dudes how to get it done.

I think we'll need a good seed for the tournament so a home loss to Bucknell won't look good but for the most part, I agree. Roy gonna Roy. It's become endearing to me at this point. We'll be at our best in March. We always are.

Of course. I’m a realist. Championships are hard to come by. Back 2 back almost unheard of. We lost our 3 inside guys. In other words my expectations for this year are low. Honest to god I’m just enjoying watching the guys play. My blood pressure agrees w me.

Tough call on Theo there. Not sure how that dude signals hold when he had his hands straight up.
