1 - Theo flopped. It was awful.
2 - Theo has to shoot those 3 pointers at times just to keep the defense honest and not to bog down ball movement. You can see it sometimes that he doesn't even want to shoot it. He's pretty terrible so limiting his outside shots is definitely the right move. And when Cam comes back, Theo won't have to shoot those shots as often. But I can promise you that Roy has told Theo that he has to shoot it when open.
3 - The 3 freshman bigs were not good at all going up against bigger, stronger and more mature guys. They'll get there. Brooks especially was terrible. If I'm going to get on Roy for something, it won't be for allowing Theo to shoot, it will be for continuously feeding the ball down low to Brooks when it was apparent that he was incapable of even getting a shot off against his defender. Not sure why Roy was forcing that issue.

I dunno about an Emmy, but he should be receiving a scholarship from dook - that flop would even make K blush.
I'm sure Roy has told him to shoot it as well, but there is a reason he gets those wide open looks. If I'm a head coach of the opposing team, I'm going to sag off of Theo around the perimeter and not worry about him. Especially when KW, JB and Luke are on the floor.
He was forcing it because that's his preferred style of play no matter how many perimeter guys that he has. He's never going to be more perimeter focused. Personally I have no problem with him doing that at this point of the year. Let them get some experience before we get to ACC play.
All that being said, Roy has three rings. He's still going to annoy me sometimes when he pulls a Roy, but in the end it usually works out pretty good.
People griping about the refs.... did they not notice that 23 fouls were called on MSU, and 14 on us?
I won't say it was called unfairly, but I know they could have called a lot more on MSU (probably us too). Every time Berry made a move to the basket the defender was far too handsy with him. And Luke took a turnaround jumper from about 8 feet out and the defender bodied him up while he was in the air to the point that effected the shot. And Theo's wrist were probably black and blue after that game. Whenever he dribbled into the lane, he was hacked on the arm. He lost at least two balls that way too.
Personally, I like playing a physical style. And I even like that for Carolina - when we have the personnel. But we don't this year. We will beat opponents with speed, depth and shooting. Therefore a tighter called game will benefit us. I'm hoping for tighter called games throughout the season.
So much for returning the freedom of motion to college basketball. Last night went against everything the NCAA has been trying to do for the last couple years. It was a step above what uva does.
I don’t mind physical ball, but I’m not a fan of MSU or UVA’s style.
Anyone want to predict the final score for the UVA/Wisconsin game tonight? I'll go with 18-14 UVA.

It was make your eyes bleed bad. I had to turn it off, could you imagine how embarrassing it would be to not break 50 points in 40 minutes of basketball?

Just saw that. That G7 post is beyond pathetic. Basically everyone on the board except gobbleballs called him out on blaming the refs and of course he gets all pissy. I kind of want to ask him who the mouth breathers are, but not sure if I want to stir the pot.
I'm guessing all the OOTB regulars are mouth-breathers.... cool.
What's funny is the OOTB people weren't really the ones that got on him. There were a couple, but it was mostly other posters. It's funny to me that they continuously blame us for issues when we rarely post over there and when we do it almost never starts an argument except for @carolinablue34.
Turns out gary didn't blame the refs at all and those who said he did were just being jerks.
Exactly. All he did is write three paragraphs talking about the refs doing a bad job and he didn't even pay attention to the stats because the refs were so bad.
I know @TarHeelNation11 would love for him to post here.
