Yeah, clearly got hit in the leg it seemed. Wouldn't make a difference but that's terrible to not call that.
This may be the worst game in Maye's career.
We have no quality depth at the point, our bigs are weak as dish water, we don't have a true off the ball scorer (missing JJ)!
And after the game Roy is going to tell us all how bad he coached today and didn't have the guy prepared!
But Dean, Roy, and Gut could all be coaching this team and they the sloppiness today couldn't be over come!
Pathetic effort today.

I know it’s cliche but this is the exact time you remind yourselves we’re defending National Campions. Losses suck. But this team will get better and this team will be a tough out come March.

You're right though. This season is reduced expectations for me but it still sucks seeing us get our ass handed to us.

If we go 10-8 in conference, then we end up around 22-10. We should get in the dance with that record, but it will be an early exit for sure.

Again back to back losses agaisnt top 25 teams on the road and some are hell bent on us missing the tournament. It’s comical to me.
Well... we have NO low post presence. Whatever dominance, or just existence, we had with Meeks, Hicks and Bradley are gone and none of the freshmen can even come remotely close to being competitive.
The senior leadership of Theo and Joel isn't really translating to leadership at all. Berry is our one GOOD player. Kenny Williams might become more of a factor, but I wouldn't count on it. He's inconsistent.
I'm realizing just how much we lost and just how little we have now to replace it... on the same level. Our freshmen are nothing special. That could change, but, I'm not expecting it.
The FSU game was not as demoralizing as this one. 49 points, 18 turnovers? Unless things change drastically, we won't be ranked in the top 25 this season (much).

You’re not telling me nothing I don’t know. It was a given before the season our post presence would be sketch at best. I agree that we need better leadership from Joel and Theo. Especially Theo. He seems to be a ghost of his former self and that’s not a compliment to his former self. BUT I’m still here telling you we make the tournament and we make it easily.

I guess it depends on how you define "easily." We should make the tourney, but, I'm not sure of anything right now. The only thing I can find redeeming about this, right now, is these two losses were hellish road games that we weren't supposed to win. What concerns me more is the home losses to Wofford, and Wake. I know we "beat" Wake. But, we played like shit, and until I see some kind of change, I consider that a loss because we were giving up 16 points in that game.
When you look at who we have... we don't have much! We're riding on reputation of the last 2 seasons and 6 decades! We're not a very talented team. I'm not looking forward to any game now.
Keep the faith brother. Of course we’re not winning the Championship barring some unforeseen voodoo luck shit but Roys teams almost always get better towards the end of the year. We’ll be ok. Might even beat duke once lol.
See I just see this as an extreme overreaction. Which is fine bc that’s what message boards are for. But what were your actual expectations for this seasons team? Outside of the Wofford loss (which yes is terrible) they’re exactly where I thought they would be. ACC is ****ing brutal man.
I didn't really have any. I'm just now realizing what we are, as a team. I didn't really consider just how much of a liability our low post game was going to be. And, I was hoping our veteran players would balance it out enough to make us remain a Top 10 team. That's not the case at all. Maye looks more and more like a walk-on that wouldn't start on many other teams.
This loss stings at the moment. The FSU loss wasn't that big of a deal to me. Maybe a few good games with progressive performances by the young guys will shift my attitude. The talent we lost is really showing.
^yeah outside of that stupid Wofford loss, our record is about the best we could've hoped for at this point.

Strum come on. We’ve missed on too many high ranked guys lately. That adds up after awhile. It’s not that we aren’t talented, just not as much as usual.
