Usually when we pull off an upset it's after the season has completely gone down the tube so it's an irrelevant win anyways. So we'll probably lose to GSU then beat ND.
I dunno, man. There's no excuse for allowing 40 points in one quarter, much less 61 in 4
The penalties were out of control

The S&C staff is a big reason why we allowed 40. This line is getting pushed around because of that staff.
Well, the penalties on 4th and long and they got a first down doesn't help. There were a lot of costly penalties that allowed drives to continue.
The defense sucks, as always. The offense has to score 50 points every game, and that's been the case since Fedora was there.
I don't disagree that the S&C is lacking. But, the defense is supposed to have a ton of talent, and they perform just as shitty as they always have.

Doesn't matter how talented you are or how good the coaching is. If you can't push a guy off of you, you're going to suck. It's the same thing on the OL too. There's only one constant on this staff.
If you want to be positive about the team, maybe you can say we will play better now that we finally have a road win. I don't believe it, but maybe one of you can.
Basically star rankings come from athletic ability.. not asking high school players to solve an algebra equation. In high school you can out talent someone and look good.. in college you need to be able to think.. play smart. It seems we have some stupid players.
It is worth mentioning that their qb made some great throws. Course he was very comfy back there with plenty of time to make them. But he was incredibly accurate. As for Dre bly, he was able to play press man coverage like no one could,
Getting In the receivers face and jamming them at the line. and it seems to me he’s trying to get our corners to do the same. Well they’re not him. They don’t have his talent. They’re constantly getting beat deep cause they’re playing too tight off the line.

It’s either that or they’re not being coached very well. It’s a little of both I fear. It’s going to be interesting to see how much progress the defense makes from game to game. Right now they are a dumpster fire.
Drake and the offense were brilliant, the entire defense was equally non brilliant. Yin and Yang.
The stupidity of him running for the end zone instead of falling down sums up that game.
Yep.. only 2 things could keep App St in the game at that point.. they recover the kick after 10 yards or the Heels score. Ball out of bounds.. doesnt go 10 yards then they recover..Heels fall on the ball.. game over.
it’s obvious we can’t get any pressure on a qb so we cannot play press man…chizik is a cover 2, bend don’t break, yardage in between the 20’s, type of coach…that’s fine and all, but if carolina can’t tackle and can’t stop the run, it doesn’t matter the level of talent you have greater than your opponent.

Seems to me like we need a new s&c staff and a new DL coach. These guys just aren’t developing. Especially if you compare them to the young 4 stars on offense
FSU is looking better against LSU than we did against FAMU or App...
Something has to change. There's too much talent on this roster not to make something happen in the next few years. There's no way all of these guys on defense were overrated coming out of high school. We've seen Chizik turn around a defense very quickly. So why does this unit look so bad against inferior competition?
This offense is going to be insane for the next couple of years. At this point I'm fully convinced that Drake will be the best QB in Carolina football history. Pettaway and Hampton are studs. The young WR's are already making plays even without Downs on the field to draw attention/double coverage. The OL has been the weakness but we've even got a 5* to anchor that unit around in Rice.
If Chizik can put together a good (not even great) defense then this offense will be good enough to lead a run at an ACC title. If he needs better position coaches or a new S&C staff then give it to him.

I doubt there will be any changes until after the season, if there are changes made. We’re just going to have to let Chizik and Warren see if they can turn the defense around. One thing is certain, there’s only one way to go from where we are defensively. Our secondary is as bad as any I’ve ever seen us field. There’s something very wrong with that group, don’t know if it’s Bly like rumors have it but it’s got to change. They are utterly inept.
remind me, the s&c staff was just replaced after “smart, fast, physical” left, right?…they were soft af then.
where is jeff connors when we need him?
